They beat Hendersonville, so they must be pretty good. I didnt think going into the season that anyone would be able to beat Hendersonville this year with what they had coming back.

Will have a hard time with Tuscola
That is going to be a really good game to end the season.

Only reason I give the edge to West right now is due to their balance. It's going to be hard to beat any team that can run for 175 ypg and throw for 250 ypg with 3 receivers averaging over 50 ypg. They spread the ball and it makes it hard to defend.

The QB has 4 receivers to choose from on any given play but he can also tuck it and run. Last year it appeared to me that they threw a lot but incomplete. We'll see if Tuscola, Pisgah, or Franklin can defend them with a scheme to slow them down.
I think they'll win the conference.

QB was impressive last year in the playoffs. Not surprising they're good this year
Y'all beat them 59-14, and they were 3-8 last season overall...don't know that you seen too much, it seems they have improved but so have a few other teams in the conference.

I'm saying in the game I saw the QB was good. He got hurt but still made some good throws. His receivers dropped a lot so I was still impressed with him despite the margin

Last year was not indicative of this WH group. I watched them early last year and took a lot of flak on here when I said WH was much better than their record, my eyes weren't deceiving me. That was until they played #1 seed Pisgah very tough that first week in October, then went on a streak of beating Franklin and playing Tuscola in a knock down drag out game to end the season. WH had an unfortunate event last year in the preseason where losing their best player essentially led to them losing their 2 best players. QB had a shoulder injury in the preseason, which meant their best receiver moved to QB. So essentially the lost their QB and best WR for half the season, both of which are D1 caliber players. You tell me any team that could recover from that, especially in WNC? They played decent when they came back but never fully recovered to their potential. For this season when it became evident that WH would not only get both of those players back for this year along with 9 starters on each side of the ball, I knew that if healthy, they could be really good. So far they have been.

Keep in mind when West plays Tuscola the offensive coordinator at West is a former Tuscola alum, who played in the SEC and the NFL as QB. There has been some bad blood between him and Tuscola's current coach. Don't look for him to take mercy on the program that turned their backs on him. It is Haywood County after all, all drama. Is the internet still down in Canton? It has been very quiet on here.

What exactly happened? I know Crompton has been on the WH sidelines for the last few years but I never knew why.

When Tuscola loses their first game or pisgah wins their next game is when I assume the internet comes back to east Haywood! They are trying to keep it under wraps but a lot of stuff going on right now on those bear sidelines . But it’s pisgah/Tuscola the records are out you never know how the GAME turns out!
