No bearing on conference standings. Would help in hosting competition but how much?

My priorities.

1. Winning on a national level.
2. Beating Ole Miss in everything.

Most important game on the schedule if Ole Miss wins.

Just another midweek scrimmage if Ole Miss loses.

It's our last real test, and only RPI boost available.

We're pretty much a lock for hosting at this point (considering how bad our remaining conference opponents look), but it could be just enough to put us over the top for a national seed.

Any High RPI game in the later third of the season is important when you are in the talk for a National seed.

Just another game to me. If we lose it's most likely because we beat ourselves.

I think it's important

for our chances at getting a national seed. I think, barring a meltdown, we have a regional in the bag.

Wait. I thought RPI doesn't care who you beat? Therefore, since it's a neutral site game, we both get 1.0 points just for showing up. Right?

Its huge for both teams. Im usually anti Ole Miss is the biggest game on the schedule. But with their RPI being 4 or 5, it is by far the strongest RPI opponent remaining on our schedule and this is our last week to make an RPI statement. It is not as important as the weekend series of course(and that is any year). But it is defineltly a great chance for some RPI boost and some confidence as we go to Tuscaloosa this weekend and I will be at most of those 3 games. Thursday for sure.

So important that the winner will likely dominate academics, athletics, and fundraising for the forseeable future in the state of Mississippi and possibly the entire SEC.
