Several WTF there. Utah #3? Indiana #4? UCLA only #8? Tenn #13? Mississippi #10 is high too. God I hope Georgia beats them.
Last season, the committee seemed to have a difficult decision to drop a team more than a few spots with a loss.
Well, if....and I feel these could very well happen...
UTn beats UK, ND beats Miami, LSU beats Bama and OM beats UGA....
The committee will have to drop some teams many many spots or have rankings that contradicts head to head results.

It’s ridiculous we even have these mid season rankings. There should be one ranking at year end. But of course this generates ratings for espn so we’re stuck with it.
imagine what this is going to look like next year when they only rank 24 teams because that is exactly how many make the playoffs. Imagine this years 5-3 Florida at 8-4 in the playoffs with 3 other 8-4 teams.
