First time watching Huskers in a while. Wondering how Alex Lewis is doing? I saw he was starting. Is he a future NFLer? Was he a good player for NU? How would you rate his career? Just curious on how he developed the past few years.

Very average. Plays hard, pretty athletic, but is a bit of a hothead and makes some big mistakes.

It was his terrible block that led to Iowa's pick 6 today, not Tommy;s throw. He didn't even try.

That's too bad. He left quite a hole for us at LT when he left. We lost Bakhtiari to the Packers leaving early for the NFL and then he transfers and we're left with no LT. Been a carousel of LTs since then. Thought he would be really good for you guys but I guess not.

He had a crucial unsportsmanlike penalty against Miami that put them in position for the game winning field goal in overtime. That's not to say that we still wouldn't have lost if he hadn't done that, but I think that play is a microcosm of his career at Nebraska. He is not a fan favorite and won't be missed by the majority. He might have a shot to have a career in the NFL though.

Kind of the consensus on him at CU as well. Good player but a definite hot head. You guys got the better end of the deal at least since he was fully developed by the time he played for you. Oh yeah, how has Thurston done at NU? Does he play?

Don't blame Lewis for that interception. TA is coached on how to float the ball over the lineman and most importantly, told NOT to throw it if it looks well defended, especially at the 5 yard line.

Lewis became less noticeable late in the season, which is a good thing. Glad to see him improve his mental foibles. We criticize players a lot on here so we should offer them praise when they deserve it.

Totally disagree. Lewis has to attack him and get his arms down.

If you watch the play where Hesse scored, Lewis dived at his legs and totally let him go by. Should have stayed up and engaged Hesse.

Guarantee he is coached to do that, to get the defender on the ground. He just whiffed.

His feet are probably soaking wet, with every Husker fan kissing them...or whatever that was.
