he has a really strong arm, looks perfect for mullen's offense... i think they will rs him this year, don't need to rush him

from the scrimmage sat, i thought you could def see how much our qb have improved when he was in... meaning a fr qb that was offered by LSU came into a MSU camp and 3 other qbs looked more poised and had a better understanding of the offense.

Whooooooooooa foronce, LSU hasn't really been much of a QB school in my existance. Flynn was the best QB they've produced in a while and he looked 100x's better than he was because of the pro-bowl caliber of players around him.

I get where you were going, but the LSU comment could have been left out.

LSU signed some very highly rated qbs coming out of high school regardless of what they did afterwords. Russell (#1 overall) and Perriloux were big time recruits as was the kid from Houston
Dak will take some time to learn but he has good size. Coach34 has already asked him to the phi mu spring formal where i understand the theme is
Copa Cabana

Now LSU's development of QB's once they get there is another story. But don't forget TCU offered him as well and that's what impresses me more.

The plan is to RS him unless Ralph was to get hurt early in the season. Then go to a 2 QB system with he and Russell in 2012. Things change and you never really know until the time gets here- but thats theline of thinkingright now.

I can't remember when I was ever this optimistic about our QB position.

would be a leak - tebow playbook... where we aren't asking russell to do much read-option... i think he is a fine qb throwing

I can see this year in qb2 duty to stay full go run-option and russell isn't going to look as could as he could, but we don't need 2 offenses installed for this years oline. Next year we need a leak-tebow playbook, where dak comes in on short yardage and stuff just like tebow did that year.

the comment about lsu, was that dak grew up in la and had an offer ...i realize he wasn't their #1, but he had an offer nonetheless.

Relf - returning starter, 5th year senior, bowl MVP, and he's taller than 6 feet
Russell - beat South Panola, lots of solid offers, Parade AA, and he's taller than 6 feet
Favre - Parade AA, nice last name, threw for a gazillion yards in high school
Prescott - dual threat, solid offers (TCU and LSU), produced tons of TDs, and he's taller than 6 feet

We are a long way from the days of Michael Henig, Tray Rutland, Josh Riddell, Ty Evans, Tyson Lee. It sure is exciting.

Jamarcus Russell, Rohan Davey, Josh Booty, Matt Mauck, and Matt Flynn.

All 5 were drafted. I'd say that's pretty good. And that's not including signing the number 1 player in America who was simply a bust (Perriloux) and then having Zack Lee go pro.

Where did this plan come from? You said that when Prescott sign there would be abig announcement.Russell would transfer to EMCC, then on to better places.

He seems to be getting left out of this discussion. If Relf goes down it seems to me Russell and Favre would get the majority of playing time. If one of these gets hurt then you go to a true freshman. Unless one of these true freshmen are light years ahead of the experienced guys. Maybe one of you good folks with any info could enlighten the rest of us on this.

Sitting with Russell as #2QB behind Relf. Neither can knock him out of that spot. LA QB willredshirt.Russell and Favre will have 2-a-days to decide who mops up. All QB's have looked good. It's great to have competition at thatspot.
