How long will Dan Mullen last at MSU

Like Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, the Mississippi State job is one of the toughest in the SEC. Many coaches have tried - and failed - to revive the program. For the most part, new hires - regardless of the school - are eagerly anticipated and ballyhooed, with the fanbase itching to part ways toward the end.

Longer than Bruiser Kinard, Ken Cooper and Steve Sloan. Probably on the Tubs track, 4-5 years, with a departure for greener pastures.

I say that because of his age. I suspect that he will need about two years to get MSU to generic respectability and then another three years to prove he can sustain it. By that time, a big name program will either have a retirement or fire a coach and he will move on. In the long run, both Ole Miss and Mississippi State can not keep up with the arms race in coaching pay unless they have a "native son" at the helm. If he takes State to Atlanta, he will be too hot not to interview. If Nutt continues to be successful at Ole Miss, we might be able to hold on to him simply because he is "old."

Mullen hasn't even sat his *** in his new office and already you're asking how long will he stay at MSU?!?

Is this a +1 thing or what?

...that you're referring to remind me of the statements that some older gentleman used to say about people who loved to complain. They would leave heaven if there wasn't a 'complaint box.'

Some folks just enjoy looking at bad scenarios. (Professionally known as "Risk Analysts" :)

Good God, the man has been hired for less than 24 hours. Let him get to work and not have to deal with Jack *** crap like this.

and showed his true colors. A class act. "It's just business."

If I was Boone I would have let him go after I dragged his infidelity by the tie out of his office and into the street and kick the tar out of him!

what he feels is a better opportunity or until he gets fired/resigns due to lack of success ala CC(hopefully this won't happen).

I want us both to be undefeated going into the Egg Bowl so we can rip your hearts out on a yearly basis.
