Now that there is significant buzz about the AD and head coach positions, one has to wonder how long will it take for a new coach is hired?

My guess is that a new coach has already been identified and, quite possibly, contract negotiations have taken place. It's Norries Wilson! Ok, I'm kidding about that last part.

If Flood is fired, but not JH, it will take a while. If both are gone, Schiano will be announced within hours, a day or two most, because the deal is already done via Greg Brown.

It will take longer than it should compared to Universities in P5 that have their act together.

Whatever the result, look back and you will wonder... if that was their direction how could it possibly have taken that long to get it done???

I think it'll be funny if Julie is not fired and hires Schiano despite what the majority here believe.

I would suspect a new coach would be hired sooner than later as this circus has been going on for quite some time now. I would not be surprised if money has not already been committed by those with deep pockets and prospective candidates have already been contacted.
It would not be in the best interest of Rutgers football to stretch this process out.
Fast resolve is needed to keep those that have committed onboard and also a last chance to scoop up any highly rated players that are sitting on the fence.

Barchi & Brown are not stupid
- they did not get to their respective positions by being 'poop-for-brains dolts'
They know that they could pretty much leave this mess on the shelf and address it a bit later - but they also know that old shopkeeper's adage "you break it - you own it" - and if they toss this mess on the floor - it is definitely broken - and they definitely own it - in fact - screw this up royally and it permanently becomes a part of their legacy.
So, it might be a reasonable guess that there's a plan A, B, C & D already in place.

If Rhule wins the next two weeks will he interview before the Fiesta/Peach Bowl, and if offered, would he leave Temple prior to a major bowl game?

based on how Rutgers has done things in the past:
if Julie is fired too they have to hire an AD 1st. It can take 2 months to get through the beauracracy of hiring a PC AD. Then you have another month or so for that AD to hire a coach. You my be looking at February for a new coach to be hired and by then you are looking at NFL assistants or 2nd tier college coordinators. The 1st tier coordinators will be hired by other schools by then. For NFL assistants you are looking at position coaches and not coordinators since they will want more money than we can play.

Interesting enough I saw an article that Tulane was going to make a run at Rob Ryan.

Barchi is not a stupid man only about sports what has he done in the field of athletics to get to this position nothing!! He was brought here for one thing and one thing only and that was the med/dental school mergers and increase research fund raising. So he is not a stupid man but very stupid and shortsighted when it comes to sports and I believe his shortsightedness is going to set us back even further than it already has!!
