What is the situation with beer at the baseball game? Can you bring a smallish cooler and pour it in a cup down the 1st or 3rd baseline? Should I enter thru outfield entrance? thx

Not saying that's the only reason. If we had won 2 of 3 vs USC it would have helped attendance too but 2012 hasn't exactly been good in the athletics world for us. Baseball just can't get any momentum going and the whole basketball search fiasco has the level of excitement in our program at probably the lowest level since Greg Byrne replaced LT.

<div class="b">Saturday</div>
<div>Overcast with rain, then a chance of rain in the afternoon. High
of 73F. Winds from the NW at 10 to 20 mph. Breezy. Chance of rain 80%
with rainfall amounts near 0.6 in. possible.

PSA don't get to close to the stage. Wind and Sugarland is a bad combination.

But still haven't decided about this weekend.

Not paying to watch a scrimmage on principle, don't give @S about the band venue.

Usually I want to make the baseball games, but have no anticipation/excitement this season.

Anyway, who cares if I show up, or not?
But, thanks for asking.

Wish it still started Friday, but will definitely be at all the games...yes, including the spring game. Speaking on behalf of the rest of the students, having Sugarland playing after is gonna be sweet. Most of us leave well before the end anyway so at least this will keep everyone there. Hell, my mom and sis are coming just because Sugarland's playing. Don't really get why anyone would skip out just because one of country musics most popular bands is playing, but that's your own business...gonna miss out on a great time.

Considering they might as well get up there and take a piss on Scott Field.

the Big Tee Pee in Neshoba County to catch the Lynyrd Skynyrd show instead of Sugar Land.

first off I'm going to sound biased bc I loathe country, but most everyone is pissed off about having sugar land instead of the free concert they've done every damn year

no, almost everyone thinks that sugarland is terrible
because one of country musics most popular bands is playin

ok popular does not equal good...LMFAO is popular but they are definitely not good

Only reason I said "students behalf" was because I haven't seen anyone say anything regarding what the students thought about it. Let me rephrase....from everything that I, notice the I, have heard around campus has been positive. Hell, who even played last year? I didn't go because there was something else better going on. Laugh if you want but I actually am a fan...even if your a guy and your not a fan, do you realize how many girls are gonna be there? That should be enough for any straight man, assuming you are?

I never said they're one of the "best" just that they're one of the most popular. You can't please everyone when choosing a band, but you have to admit a band like sugarland does appeal to a wide variety, but not all, of state fans.

The only thing that I can find to ***** about this whole thing is not letting coolers in, thought we could last year but turned out not. $25 isn't much for a big event like this....and no I'm not talking about you with families.

+2. I've even got some Ole Miss friends coming because they say that it's going to be a lot better in Starkville this weekend than watching some crappy Grove Bowl.

Fans at the "big boy" schools wouldn't hesitate to come, no matter the band or other festivities that they may or may not have even enjoyed.

Love the Thursday night baseball series start and hoping to see Joe Morrow bust out Saturday afternoon at Davis-Wade. I may even stay and see what Sugarland sounds like live.

they will lose some customers who would otherwise go. It's simple capitalistic economics. </p>
