Saban was on gameday selling the 3-3-5 defense ISU was going to run. He said it’s not good against the run, but allows better coverage. He was trying to make a 4-5 yard run a win. I don’t get how giving up half the chains every run is a positive.
It’s a great defense against some offenses. It’s a terrible defense against a back like that & a mediocre passing QB.
What’s wild is that they’re 9-3, conference champs, and not much better than us.
I was thinking we didn’t really run any defense.
Amazing how their dominating win over State gave them the confidence to dominate all season long.
Not defending Hutzler but I think we ran 3 down a lot bc we only had 3 d linemen!

I don’t really care if we run a 3-4, 4-3, 3-3, stack 4. Just slow them the 17 down!
