How many of you think we land Liggins?

I have been trying to make myself believe we have a chance of landing Liggins, but getting him out of Oxford is like pulling a tooth. Don't get me wrong, I hope he announces that he will be committing to us and signs with us on Feb. 1st, however I am realistic and dont think he will pick State at an interview on Rebel Radio at a restaurant/Bar on the Square in downtown Oxford. If he does indeed pick us, he could become the most popular Mississippi State signee ever.

Have we EVER signed any football players out of Oxford HS/Lafayette HS?

I like where we stand as of now.

As far as players from Oxford- we got Brad Freeman from there. Of course, his Dad played football for us, but Brad was a punter for a year. His brother- Ty Freeman walked on and was from Oxford.

Of course, Ole Miss has gotten most of the better players those two schools have produced over the years as one would expect, but we've also gotten several players from South Panola like Kevin Cooper, Derek Pegues, Mario Bobo, Kendrick Market, Demetric and Ricky Wright, and we got Templeton Hardy from North Panola. And Croom had a WR commit whose name escapes me right now in his very first class- he didn't make it to school though.

And Ole Miss has gotten a player or two from Starkville, West Point, and Columbus over the years. It's not an unheard of thing for each school, but it's not common.
