How many people on here actually thought Vandy was a legit top 25 team?

Actually their record deserved the ranking, however, I thought from the get go that we would win this game. With such being said, I don't think they are actually one of the 25 best teams in college football and didn't think they were even before we beat them.

That's how they win. The biggest mistake that MSU made today was punting ****** before halftime and Vandy made MSU pay.

They were the SEC's worst offense and defense. Special teams and game changing plays can only take you so far before ineptness on either side of the ball bites you in the ***. See MSU 2007. On the other hand, we ONCE AGAIN, failed to break the 300 yard mark against the worst defense in the league and it took 3 "drives" on our part to burn the last 7 minutes of the clock so we could hold on to a slim lead. The ranking was a nice little memento that the Vandy players can take with them, but I don't think anybody really thought that this was anything more than a matchup of SEC lightweights.

they have been winning with defensive TDs and special teams TDs.......that **** wont last forever.....they were 3 plays away from being 2-3 entering this game, just as we were 2 plays away from being 5-6 last year....all these plays being defensive and special teams.....not saying its not a part of the game, but, those types of TDs are as much lady luck as they are skill......see 2008 MSU falloff from MSU of 2007 just sayin....

They didn't play a handful of pushovers to get to 5-0. They beat three division foes and have been playing good football.

South Carolina, Mississippi and Auburn all lost games they should have won (and South Carolina and Mississippi dominated). Vandy lost a game it should have lost, and got dominated in. Today's game shouldn't have been as close as it was.

Exactly. Vandy hasn't looked better than any of the teams they've played in the SEC. They have just taken advantage of mistakes that other teams have made. I guarantee you that they will get beat by 20+ points by teams like Florida and Georgia.

It won't be very long before Vandy finds its way out of the Top 25. Honestly, there isn't a team left on their schedule that they should easily beat. UT, Kentucky, and Duke are the most winnable, but with their pitiful offense, it's possible that they lose out.

It would make my year if that were to happen to send Vandy to 5-7.
