I know there was close to 63000 in the game, but how many people were there that never went in the game?

I am wondering if this had anything to do with the traffic. I know it was a lot of folks on campus.

Sorry if Germans. Looked and did not see it discussed.....

Between the 2 tailgates I'm affiliated with we had 26 people who didn't have tickets. We couldn't find tickets for them. Of course scalpers were outrageous so a family of 4 couldn't afford to go in. I had 3 tickets I gave away to state fans. The scalpers are ridiculous. I wish they would ban the "I need tickets" thugs from campus. It's trashy IMO. Give them a certain area and arrest them if they wonder away. It pisses me off that they are walking around tents lurking.

I'm guessing there was 10,000 people lineup at the gates watching the game on the jumbotron. I'm guessing 75-80K people all together.

No clue, but this is the first time I have seen people resort to parking along old 82 2 hours before kickoff.

How do the scalpers get their hands on so many tickets? Do people really sell to them over a state fan looking for them?

I sold my extra one on the Sixpack ticket exchange and got stiffed by the 17er Saturday morning. I walked around for two minutes with the ticket up and sold it to a scalper for $100. Couldn't believe a scalper paid that much for an upper deck seat.

I hated selling it to a scalper.

We were by the gameday bus waiting to see who the picker was getting off the bus and one of the scalpers was eyeing a guy with his tickets in his back pocket waiting to pick pocket him but the guy in front of us warned him to watch his tickets and he took them out of his back pocket and the scalper left immediately after that. We saw the same scalper later walking around with one ticket so i'm sure he yanked that one from somebody. So moral of the story, from now on keep the tickets out of plain site.

People who don't want to deal with selling themselves.

Back in one of our better Jackie years, I saw a little middle aged white guy with a handful of tickets. I tell him I am looking to buy. He ignores me and walks past me and to a ticket broker. I say again to the guy I want them. The ticket broker starts cussing me and telling me they have a deal.
