How much knowledge about what was happening did Cam have?

Did he know he was being shopped around with a huge pricetag or was it something Cecil was doing behind his back? Is Cam innocent in all this or was he aware if what was going on?

We do know that Cam has always said that he wanted to go to State, but let his dad make the decision. Cam was probably clueless to what was going on.

He wanted to help any way he could, so he knew that if his father told him to go somewhere besides Mississippi State, it was because his father got the money. He wasn't involved in getting the money, but he sure did know what was going on.

by his dad, who was about to lose his independent contractor, self fundedchurch unles Cam got him some big donations

Camknew. Why would he care? He was looking at (1) one year of college (two max) where he would be (2) a big time QB, (3) popular on campus and then (4) an NFL SuperStar. Who would care?

Of course he knew.

he wanted to go to State but that Cecil made the decision. Maybe he got wind of the rumors etc, and wanted to distance himself from it. Also, Bond may be doing the same thing, since his name was mentioned in connection with it, and went ahead and made his statement to distance himself from it also. Bond is not being a "rat." He hasn't accused Auburn or anyone else of taking money.

He'd been through the game once already. He knew the score. I'm sure he was off enjoying juco and probably had nothing to do with his dad's dealings but at the same time he knew things were going down and knew why he wasn't making his own decision.

and neither do I. He is a grown man, he should be making his own decisions. Either he did, and he goes down, or he blindly did what his father wanted, and he goes down. Works for me either way.

I feel a little bad for Cam but he's gonna be cashing NFL checks next year and I'm sure he will get over it. Auburn is going to end up being the big loser in this thing.
