Hey Creek, what is your source for the Top 15 West/East games? It is not Grizzly. It is not last year's playoff seedings. Is it Simmons? MaxPreps? Deana King? The Sombrero wearing Colonel Sanders?

I have heard stories of Harland Sanders being nice. However, I used to workout with a guy and he told me a story that when he was younger he worked as a fry cook and was selected as one of the best KFC cooks in the 1970s. He got to meet the Colonel and Colonel Sanders yelled at him for cooking the chicken wrong.

LHSfaninVA, the colonel might be grouchy because of his name, Harland. Give me a break... Speaking of chicken, my father could fix the best fried chicken, I wish you could have tasted it. It would beat any of them. He was trained as a cook when he well, worked, for the state. On my solemn word it was the best I have eaten.

The best fried chicken I have ever eaten is in Oriental NC at Brantley's Restaurant. They have it on the all you can eat buffet on Thursdays. I'm telling you it's the best!

Some good games to start the season. I don't know what to expect from my Eagles. I know we are down some number wise. We'll see. West Carteret has always played us hard.
I'd love to see Pamlico County start the season with a win. New Coach Bobby Griffin with his first game there. He is a West Craven former player/Coach. I think he is gonna be low on numbers a bit also but they should improve in the next couple of years I was told. Kids will love Bobby.

Salisbury hosts West Rowan to start the season. This might be one heck of a ball game.
The Falcons beat a good North Lincoln team and lost respectably to Crest in the playoffs last year….finished 9th in Max Preps 3a West.

Can’t wait to see what the Hornets have.😉

I had to say something about NOGA. I have quite a few relatives that went there.

I hated going down there sometimes. Because when I came back, and I told people I was in Dallas, people were like "Did you see J. R. ?" "How's J.R. doin'?"

I was on the phone and my sister had taken a job in Dallas. My wife overheard me and was like when did your sister move to Dallas? I explained that Dallas is basically next to Lincolnton and don't get me started on Denver and Vale (Vail).

He has numbers up. Over 40 Kids, which is pretty good at Pamlico. He recruited the hallways hard and 8th graders at the middle school. Definitely a motivator.

Yea he has gotten off on a good start. I never thought our numbers would fall as much as they have at West Craven. We are liable to fall to 1A.

I think Dallas High was the yellow jackets. People in High Shoals which is mostly in Gaston County and little in Lincoln County had a choice of Lincolnton or Dallas. I've known a couple people who were alumni, there. To my memory Dallas never played LHS but played Cherryville.
William Friday, first president of the UNC system was a Dallas High Grad.
