How much time needs to pass before Jamerson Love...

Catches the flack he earned?

The ball down the sideline and both touchdowns late. Had a rough UAB game... He did have a good break up on a deep ball but damn.... He has Kenny Hill slobbering. It's on tape. We better scheme around it and get him some help. He is pretty good against the run. Gotta splash some positive in there.

I cursed his name numerous times Saturday Night. He did have the one good play where he almost intercepted the ball, but for the most part he was nowhere near the man he was allegedly covering. He made Will Redmond look good!

I meant to post something similar. Love has become a target on the long streak/jump ball.

In lieu of detracting from the celebratory nature of

the MSU boards early in the week, I passed on this topic.

However, all 3 TDs went over him, I believe. Hope to see less of #5 going forward. He seems to get lost easy.

Agreed. Have not been very high on Jamerson's coverage thus far

He seems to be in really good position until the end and then he panics. The last LSU TD, he was in perfect position but jumped early or off of the wrong foot. I will also say this. There were open LSU WRs on crossing routes Saturday night. We have to get that cleaned up. If we aren't going to cover great, we have to have more pressure to keep the opposing QB from getting time to make good throws. We did that for the most part Saturday.

Love has had

(for the most part) pretty good coverage. His biggest problems has been mistiming jumps or having the ball go right through his hands.

Love definitely had some troubles but didn't redmond have trouble against uab? He improved since. I believe they will fix that. Collins is a defensive genius

I think his height is an issue at times as well. If his man is past him on a deep route, he can still be in good position and know where the ball is but be unable to make a play on it against a taller receiver. I think we'd look better with Calhoun and Redmond starting on the outside with Love coming in as a nickel corner.

People bash Redmond, people bash Love. You know who you haven't heard? Calhoun. Because no one will throw on him. Match Calhoun up with Kennedy and see what happens with the other two. Speedy Noil may be out so that would help tremendously.

Love has very good coverage skills but not very good ball skills. Redmond is getting better each game IMHO. I like the Redmond/Calhoun combo better myself

Fav Calhoun moment from Saturday was the LSU reverse

If you go back and watch that play, pay attention to Calhoun. He doesn't even make the play but it was his effort.

On the snap, he is playing the Defensive Right/Offensive Left Corner. Calhoun is matched up man/man on the WR who goes in motion for the reverse. At the moment the WR takes off, all you see is a blur of Calhoun screaming across the field to get to the far side and try to head off the play. Great effort. I see it from him every game.

He got abused frequently Saturday. Just finished rewatching the first half and damn near every play through the air they made was against him. Hopefully he gets his head on straight and is ready to go against A&M.

He struggled on several plays Saturday, but he was one of the only CBs that didn't get burned against UAB. He has to pick up his level of play, but he's been solid more than he's been bad the last couple of years.

Love will get his mojo back. He was great last year. He will hopefully have a new fire in his gut for A&M. Watch him get 2 picks. I also think if Day goes down, and Muniz is forced out, that dude will execute like a firing squad. Those kind of mistakes can give new life and purpose to a young athlete.

HOPEFULLY
