Spent eight years in the Marine Corps. Five Active and three reserves. I am 60 years old. Senior Advisor in a Marketing Department for a 20-billion-dollar company. I can retire today but I set my retirement date either May 2027 or June 2027.

Many insurance companies are starting to not cover companies that haul coils.

Seems like an opportunity for a MSU engineer to adapt a flat bed trailer with a well for the coils to partially sit in and be chained down to when being transported. When not hauling coils a cover to sit over the well and be locked in place........

They do make a specific trailer for hauling coils with bunks but they are expensive and can only haul coils. This means you are dead heading home to pick up another coil. Most truck drivers will find a load to haul back home rather than pulling an empty trailer. The issue with hauling coils is most of the time the trailers are maxed per DOT regulations with a single coil. The more stuff you add to a trailer increases the dead weight thus reducing your payload.

ETA: I was a PolSci major, but I work in the defense industry.
