If your hand is on the bat and the ball hits your hand it's supposed to be a foul ball. I've always been told that and had that call made against me. Typical ********

hands are hands the bat is the bat. I have heard it too "the hands are part of the bat" that doesn't make it right. when you buy a bat are hands included?

It does make sense that, since you're swinging your hands out there with the bat, that if you swing your own hands into the ball, it's your own damn fault.

If you're don't swing and are hit by a pitch, it's a HBP and you get 1st base unless you're hit in the strike zone, in which case it's a strike. The hand is not, and never has been, a part of the bat.
