Year after year, this is always one of our worst games. Even on the rare occasion we have them where we want them, we go chicken **** and shrivel. How do we change our mentality? we have a mental block and we need to shake it. Slump buster time. Its time to release the grind....but how?

Find a damn way to:

1. Not get rattled if they score quickly in the first quarter (team and coaches)

2. Find a way to step on their throats if we do go into the half with the lead (don't fall into the trap of "it's working, let's not change ANYTHING").

3. Build up the game as important but don't put the pressure of the entire season on it

Score with 1 second left on the clock in the first half so they can't return the favor before the half ends.

we definitely have to release the daken. also, another important piece of this equation is to crush their souls.

I think our fan base needs to stop being intimidated by things that don't factor in. All I've heard all week is "Saturday nigh in Baton Rouge", "We may win at day time, but not at night"

Our fan base must have a bunch of wussies in it that are afraid of the dark or something. There will be a 100 yard football field in the middle of a concrete stadium, and that's where the game will be decided. Morning, Day, nigh, dusk, twilight, etc.. it doesn't matter. We just need to walk out there and take care of business

We have to slow down their run game. If we can keep them under 150 yards we'll have a good chance of beating them. I'm not afraid of their QB. Dural is only threat I've seen at WR so far, but they have talent there I'm sure no doubt about it. Stack the box, tackle and make Jennings beat us. I don't think he can.

On offense we have to run Dak and make a some nice plays on the zone read and possibly break one and hit them on a play action at some point.

I would do everything I could to make Jennings beat us. I think we win if we can do that. We have the front 7 to keep the run game in check. This is our year. 21-20 State.

Our Defense must stand tall and play hard every play. Refuse to allow them to gain ground. Refuse to let any long pass get caught. Refuse to all their QB to have any time to attempt to throw. Confuse the QB. Stuff the ground game.... In other words, time to stand tall and play every play to win.

It is time we reverse this record. Time to coach smarter than LSU. Time for our Defensive Line and Depth to take it to their offensive line. Beat them. Just take control of the line of scrimmage.

I'm not sure if you said this to agree with me or disagree with me, but, YES, my point exactly. Fans aren't in the game. So what if the FANS in Tiger Stadium are a little louder at night. The game will be decided by players.

One thing that I think makes LSU so good year after year is that there may not be a team in the country that understands it's identity and who they are more than LSU.

Every year, no matter their personnel, they try to run it down your throat and be the most physical team in College Football. I love that about them.

So it just seemed odd that you bashed our fans as pussies in a thread asking how our players overcome what the original poster said was some sort of mental block.

Your answer to his question was "we" needed to go out there and take care of business. I must have mistaken "we" to mean the fans since your post oddly was only about the fans except for the last sentence. My bad.

I say a couple of six packers should sneak into DWS, dig up those 17ing bones and plant them in the middle of the field in death valley. It's their turn in the barrel with those damn injuns.

Score more points than they do.

I'm almost nearly positive that if the final seconds tick off the clock and we are ahead.... we will win.
