Their job is to report. Our job is to hold our government accountable. Your job is to call the first lady a ***** while millions of women march the streets hoping to be treated equally.

Our founding fathers thought the freedom of the press was so important they put it in the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution, not the Declaration of Independence, and they recognized the role of the press in keeping politicians honest.

I had a PA officer tell me once to not get into a battle with the media, and it was great advice. There was a reporter trying to sensationalize a story. You want the media to be your friend.
I guess I am going to have to re-teach you again that the constitution does not grant rights, it limits our government.

How do we hold them accountable without credible information on their actions? Can't blame CNN or any other news organization for throwing blows when someone questions their credibility.
They openly destroyed their own credibility. They gave up their ability to hold others accountable when they stopped holding themselves accountable.
They gave up their credibility when their repirters started getting permission from the DNC to run stories and when they started getting debate questions from DNC operatives. The chose sides so now they have no credibility.

Moreover, their animosity towards him (most of it absolutely warranted) destroyed their ability to have any impact going forward. The people that already don't like him or Republicans will just go "see, we told you he would suck" and the other side will just say "that's biased/fake news". You are incorrect. I have zero trust in him but have studied what he's been able to do and how he was able to do it over the last 18 months. He controls the narrative whether good or bad, and if it's bad, he just creates a new talking point after a few days either equally or more outrageous and the cycle repeats.
I don't hate the left, but I'm not a huge fan of a lot of their policies in practicality.
How much coverage was given to the women's march? How much to "The president doesn't agree with attendance numbers? He controls the media.

Well, I agree with your thoughts on his strategy and how effective it's been. Scares the $&@+ out of me though. The smarter they seem to me, the scarier. I liked it better when he was just an egotistical joke.

What's weird is that he seems to hate bad press, so he gets more bad press, but he loves bad press, so he gets MORE of what he's looking for anyway.

Your delusion is amazing. The media has simply reported facts. They reported the craziness of Trump. Because Trump was so incredibly bizarre, it appeared the media was biased.
I agree. He's at 40% approval and barely beat a weak Clinton. The press calls his BS, he rants at them and somehow his base thinks he's geniusly maneuvering the press off a cliff. Not.
It eats at him because he thinks he's wonderful. He fails to understand, as does the left mocking the size, is those that voted him into office aren't the type to travel to attend such events.
Also, geography plays a big role in that turnout as well. As they pointed out on Meet the Press, the vast majority of counties in MD and VA surrounding DC lean heavily Democrat these days and therefore you can't expect to pull those people in.
