Some of you”fans” will never be happy. Good chance by next week at this time we will have 20 wins,
Be happy in a crowne or NIT year? We have to start showing people why at 20 wins we belong in the big dance!!!! We’ve been playin at this mediocre level all big east season. One mediocre game here and there, it happens. But it’s every game!!!!!!!!!

2006 we showed up with 18 wins but great wins at NC State and at Syracuse. We don’t have those. We must prove we belong.

According to the coaches on here butler would have scored 26 points tonight if they game planned for the team. They scored 56 points, what else should Sha have done to slow them down?

The offense to start this game was as bad as possible. A nediocre offense would have had a 10 pt lead People said Twin starting would let us start better. We didnt and Twin was subpar.
Agreed that a decent offense would have been up 10-15 points. However, the offense early was getting much better looks with Simpkins in the lineup. First play of the gamed had Simpkins attacking but not finishing. They had wide open threes by AJ and Clark also had descent shots. Simpkins and Williams had 18 combined points. That was the best Mike we have seen in a while. I believe it worked. Simpkins contributed in other ways.

You guys do realize that you can win a game and the coach wasn’t perfect right?

If Bizjack plays they win by double digits.

This is false. We were up 6-2 with 3 missed fts. The starting lineup was fine.

Sha gets blamed when we win and blamed when we lose...go figure??
I think Sha is going from a guy who has been beating kids up all season to building them up now. Good coaches know when to flip the switch. Saw it last night rallying and encouraging players. This is when things get interesting fingers crossed he can pull it off.

I warned about playing down to the competition and they did. Ugly win but a win. Clark got banged up a lot in the last game even though his stats were great. I think he showed last night that he was still hurting from the beating he took. Little time to recover. Hopefully he will recover in time for the next game and have a bounce back.

In 21 years of running the board I never used the ignore button. But one month from today when I am no longer a monitor I sure as hell will.

Not with posters who tend to lean negative. But with posters who are never satisfied.

We shot 45% from the foul line . If we could have shot at least 60% we would have won by double digits. We cannot continue to be that bad at the free throw line going forward, if so it will eventually cost us a W .

Yes - with a team as limited as we are offensively in the half court, and dreadful from 3, we absolutely have to make our free throws.

I mean they went to the Pete the last regular season game and beat a top 8 team...barely any conf team had won there...that solidified the bid. BTW 5 mvc at large teams that season...times have changed

True, but doesn’t that go both ways? Matta is an accomplished coach, if his team had any offense to start game the would have had us down big as happened many times last few years.

How in the world in a game where Butler is missing their top 3 point guards, we had the worst pg on the court?

This has been my biggest issue w Clark. He was the best player on the court vs Providence and now the worst player on the court tonight. How are his first 3 shots all three pointers??
Budd had a bad game. Some bad TOs, and way off from what we are used to. I am still impressed with him making the most important bucket of the game, after the Payne mishandle. We needed a score and he got it.

Quad 1 win believe it or not
And no longer a quad 1 win less than 24 hours after. Right now our second best win of the year is at 11-15, 4-11 Providence who is a complete disaster. The one positive of last nights win is we are out of the 50's in NET and back into the 40s. Season is not dead but we need big wins, we have 1. 1 is not enough.

I have come to realize the coach always seems to have a scowl on his face. He especially goes nuts when a guy is left open in the corner for a three. But last night, initially, it looked as if he was beating up Payne in the last few seconds..... after a great block. Huh? Then I realized he was literally banging on him saying "great job." Didn't really look any different from the team huddle after an unplanned hasty time-out.
