Have had several requests from folks who are not over here at this time regarding lifting the gate on this page and opening it back up.

Any thoughts? Keep it like this or open it up? Only way I will agree to opening it back up is if the trolls are not engaged with and promptly reported.

Thanks for your feedback. Will probably make a decision tomorrow.

I sifted through yours quickly and did not see any references. Yes this post from TK was tonight. Sometimes I have some breaking info.......lol.

Oh, I couldn't care less if you didn't post in "my thread." I was just laughing that I made a post for anyone who cared if it had changed and then you dropped a potential bomb that we might be back. Genuinely appreciate the info.

Can people lay off of trolls? I doubt it.

Good luck. People cant resist engaging the trolls constantly. It was discussed doing that here and lasted 10 min.

I propose:

A pinned “IAFB/Hotel Identification” thread as a clearinghouse for those two. Once they are identified (which is ridiculously easy), the community posts the account and once a day a mod runs through and bans posted accounts. Get caught up in the ban and you’re not one of those two dipsh*ts? Time for some self-reflection.

A pinned public shaming of banning reasons for any regulars. Got a little too comfortable using the n-word or f-word over here since you’ve come down south? Use it in HORT and the reason for your ban is publicly stated. For example it might look something like this, @Scrubby has been banned for 30 days for use of a sexual slur: https://www.on3.com/boards/threads/cup-guy-on-the-republican-vaccine-lies….8934764/post-188473429. No more stealth banning. Public shaming makes everyone know the limits.

WPOTY is banned for 1 month. You earned it. You deserve it.

As mod, I will come up with more ideas. And you will all be better off for it.

It’s not so much laying off the trolls in so much as laying off the complaining about them. Some folks enjoy making fun of them (I have a hybrid approach of engaging and eventually ignoring). But key is don’t go running to mods about the horrible stuff they say either if you are not going to ignore and chose to make your eyes bleed.

If the ban is lifted, you are cordially invited to join our board, or at least have dual citizenship. It's basically the same as here anyways, at this point. Even guerillas such as fatpiggy are welcome. moogie and then the john hughs types are not.

Overall it isn’t too different, I don’t believe HROT is quite as tolerant in regard to racial slurs and gay and trans bashing as what is allowed here.
