Maybe. This is more than just a slump. He’s sucked for 6 weeks now. At least he quit putting up bad shots in crunch time tonight.

Even in a slump, opposing teams have to account for him, which benefits the other four guys on the court. And if they don’t account for him, he will make the pay.
He's being really closely guarded by taller opposing players; just really having to work hard to get an open look. We REALLY need a point guard in the worst way.
I keep hearing people say "he's not a point guard", but at some point if he wants any chance to play professionally after MSU, he's probably going to have to learn how. There aren't a lot of 5-11 shooting guards in the the NBA. I get that it's easier said than done, but why not push him to actually learn how to be a point guard?
This is where Clary’s absence hurts us. We probably see a lot more Reggie miller type plays for Hubbard if Clary is in alongside him.
I’ve thought about this too. What are the gaps to fill to get there? Being a lights out shooter when open is one. And fixing those free throws. Become a more dynamic penetrator and distributor. Develop the floater game.

Agreed, but Cam is NOT a point guard. Or a ”point forward” or whatever we try to call him to make an excuse for him handling the ball and “running the offense“.
The recipe for a shooter to recover from a slump like this is to keep shooting. It’s the only way.

Ssomeone said they only see 3 wins, that was our third win. Don't need Hubbard for the rest of the season since they all losses.
He just needs to go back to wearing lucky #13! That’s all!
Last thing I worry about is Hubbard. He will figure it out. He’s too good.
I'm a bit concerned. He was a 35% 3-point shooter last year, and he's a 35% 3-point shooter this year. And he's sub 40% overall both years. With his size, he has to be a better shooter than that.
It’s not his shooting that overly concerns me. It’s his D. We are significantly better on D with Kugel, Melendez, and Harris Jr or Sean Jones on the floor.
That's what the offseason is for. This is our best shot to make the Sweet 16 in two decades, I for one don't want him learning on the job right now.
Best case scenario is Clary back at point and let Hubb shoot his shots.
