Moments like this is what I love about college sports, and what college sports is becoming less of. It's turning into championship or bust. If you don't win a title, then your season was worthless. But to me, college sports is about moments and making memories. The people who were at that game, and those who watched it on tv will never forget it. It was one of the great games played at the Hump, and one of the best individual performances in school history. Yes, it was a game between teams who are 14-12 and 13-13, but still, it is a game that will be remembered long into the future by State fans. Just like we still remember Anthony Dixon's 252 yards against Kentucky and his "Grinding for my State" interview after the game. Doesn't matter that we went 5-7 that season, it's a great memory that State fans still remember. Last night was another one of those moments.

He kept beating his chest and pointing at “STATE” while yelling “You don’t leave State”
Missed the part about Murphy standing right next to him. Backs almost to each other but said plenty loud enough he was talking straight at him. Say what you will about Hubbard but I am so very glad he a Dog! He is as much State right now as any player on any team. One could say Face of State sports.
Yes baseball is a better program but none represents better than him.

He’s basketball’s Dak.

Unfortunately, he won’t have a professional career after he leaves State. He’s had a pretty good professional career in Starkville, though.
