receivers who can make awesome catches. The game last night included multiple catches that were game changers for ULL. Hud is a daring coach in his approach. ULL's D was unimpressive vs the pass. It was fast but not as aggressive with its coverage. His sideline demeanor was intense and animated. All that emotion during the course of a game can be draining...especially over the course of an entire season. I prefer the more "even keel" approach by Mullen with anoccasional<div>tirade. I also think Mullen is a more impressive interview. That said, it was a great game to watch.</div>

television interviews conducted prior to the game, at halftime, and at the end of the game...not job interviews. I just think Mullen is more impressive in his delivery and the general way he handles himself. Do not misunderstand...I am not knocking Hud. He is a winner. If Mullen were to leave I am all for bringing Hud back to MSU.

Hud's ULL team definitely had far better receivers than we saw at Miss State this year. That is just sad. However, we have a rising star in M. Johnson and I have high hopes for J. Morrow. ULL was lacking big time talent across the defensive line. Even State's perceived weak defensive ends were better than what Hudspeth fielded last night.

If we actually get most of our verbals to sign in February, State should become very stout on D. I hope to see marked improvement on offense though. I realize it all starts with the offensive line, but I expected far more out of a Dan Mullen coached team on offense than I witnessed this year.

Hope Dan Mullen stays at State for two more seasons at a minimum. If he does bolt anytime soon, I would imagine Hudspeth would be a front runner for the job.

They caught at least 3 long passes even though they were interfered with. And not just picky calls, they were getting mugged on all 3 plays. And I believe it was 3 different guys. I actually wasn't impressed that much with their QB at all, all he did was throw the ball up for grabs and let his receivers go make the plays. Which isn't a bad strategy when you've got receivers like that.

About Morrow, I think Mullen did us a huge favor in the long run by redshirting him. In today's CL Marcello writes that before the scrimmage other players were telling him to watch out for him that he was going to have a great scrimmage. Mullen said he almost didn't redshirt him, but he wasn't about to sacrifice a year of eligibility so he could be a part-time player. I really like think Mullen's approach to redshirting is going to start paying some huge dividends for us in a couple of years when we start being loaded with 5th year seniors every season.

I am pretty sure our Wide Receivers and QB's would look all pro against both San Diego State and ULLA.
