Why not? If I were Foley, I'd be all over him. Of course, I would be all over the two MS coaches as well.

If they miss on their first several picks, I would not be shocked at all if they went this way. He'd likely kill it out there.

Was just about to post something similar about Hud...

I know a lot of the bloom fell off the HUD rose after the 1-3 start, but ULL is about to go on a tear. Their game next week with South Alabama will be the toughest test they face the rest of the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish 9-4 again.

He will be way down the list. They will have to miss on a lot.

Great. We'll never be able to hire him away from Florida.

Mullen to UL... Monroe? Lafayette? Is there a direction in there somewhere?

Dantonio all day. Then I'd try stoops, Bryles, maybe James Franklin? Who's at Arkansas State? They seem to be having good luck with coaches.

I think Florida's default guy will be Petrino, but it will be kept very quiet. Hud wouldn't even be on the b-list. They are going for a big name guy with big time track record at a big time program.

I'm not sure even Petrino is a low enough slime ball to leave a school who gave him a 2nd chance to coach in major conference and at a school he coached at previously. But if there is one person that could do it.........Petrino is the man. I doubt Slive would allow it to happen as long as he is in control.

Not sure how much influence slive will have as a lame duck.

Seriously ...

Petrino was and continues to be the biggest slimeball in sports. He has 'zero' loyality. He has changed schools/teams 17 times in 30 years. Longest he has been in one place is three years at Louisville as HC. Even then, he would have left to go back to Auburn if TubGate hadn't been exposed.

Western Kentucky gave him the opportunity to be a HC again and he left in less than a year. He will leave Louisville for a better offer ... you can count on it.
