This is lost on most faithful. I can count on one hand how many simply "good" coaches we've had. Our perception of what a really good coach is differs from anyone else in the SEC."Very good job" is quite a stretch.
Anyone check on engie yet? May want to send an ambulance just in case.
No. Most of the Cohen haters are pissed because he is the ***** of just about every other decent SEC team. O'Sullivan, Maineri, Van Horn, Bianco, dude at Vandy, all own Cohen.
Congrats on him coaching in the CWS final. His team couldn't hit **** against UCLA and, by the looks of it, he hasn't learned his lesson. He is Croom-esque in his refusal to change his philosophy on coaching. Improving his SEC record and the addition of a strength program would shut us up.
Next year the balls will travel farther which means every team we play will be sending them out of the yard while ours barely roll to the warning track.

Most of the folks that want Hudspeth over Mullen are in the same boat as the Raffo over Cohen crowd. They're just still a little butt hurt because their choice didn't get the job and the guy that did get the job is doing pretty good, much to their dismay.
No, people that want Hudspeth are disappointed in how Mullen adapted his offense to Tyler Russell, disappointed in his recruiting, disappointed in his stubborness on things like running Perk up the middle repeatedly while our bowling ball RB was on the bench, disappointed with special teams and/or are grass is always greener people.
Although Mullen has done a very good job, there have been legitimate shortcomings and I can understand people thinking Hudspeth would be better after the job Hudspeth has done at ULL (especially last season after MSU's games against Bowling Green and UK but before the egg bowl and liberty bowl). I think it still takes a little bit of grass is greener mentality to come to that conclusion, but I don't think it requires anybody to be butt hurt over Hudspeth not getting the job originally.
Gene Chizik won the BCSNCG with a stellar athlete. Cohen got to the championship with stellar athletes. Auburn fired his *** one year later. The year after he was fired they played for it all again. I pulled the plug on Sherrill three years before everybody else figured out he wasn't working out either. I'm not a fan of mediocre results when we are paying Cohen handsomely to produce. It is widely accepted that Mississippi State, with its rich history of baseball and passionate fans, is one of the top 5 college baseball jobs in the nation. Such a shame so many of you are willing to accept defeats to Holy Cross, UCA, jaxnville State and OM. I hope you don't run your businesses the same way.

What you really have to ask yourself is Hud's 3 seasons of 9 wins each (in the sun belt) more impressive than Mullen with a 9 and 8 win season (in the SEC). Also, Mullen has 4 straight bowl games, which has never been done here. With that said, i do think Hud would do a good job here. If this season goes as well hope, someone might steal Mullen and then maybe we get to see Hud here.
I'm saying if this coming season is as bad as this last one? Hell yes we should.
