I was told we would make room. If I had to guess I would think Jacquese, but I really don't know. Plus Im not saying that he is committing to us. I havent heard anything along those lines. Ive just heard that he was worried about his committment to USC becasue of the Reggie Bush and OJ Mayo scandals.

Forgive me if I don't totally understand how this works.....but HOW exactly would problems in the football program affect the basketball program? Something doesn't smell right.

Plus, I thought you were about 35-40th last year, and I don't see much improvment. I'd probably put you 30-35.

Losing JV would just kill you.

They are investigating the whole department now since both investigations are combined. The basketball program was already getting a lot of scrutiny because of what happened with Mayo.

and it's stupid for him not to declare for the NBA draft.

All my assumptions are based upon Jarvis coming back.

where would you have seen Ole Miss next year assuming you didn't lose Huertas or White?

Ole Miss could be considered better than State in 2010. We are going to be at least 9 deep without Sydney. And you have to think everyone improves especially the freshmens.

and Warren is one of the best point guards in the SEC. We could have the best backcourt in the SEC. And Buckner will give us a huge boost on D, as with having Polyniece, our best defender back. I just think Terrico and Warren will be almost unguardable playing together.

you always seem pretty level headed with your posts on here, but how in the world do you think ole miss is top 20??? what did they do this year? Warren? he was a suprisingly good freshman, there are two to four of those every year in the SEC, if healthy, he is no better than fourth or fifth in the SEC at PG. And did you say you think youve got a first rounder?? Have you had a first rounder in modern history?? we have had some damn good players not go first round, I dont think there is anyone on that campus with a chance of going in the first round--and looking at your latest recruit, the program is going in the wrong direction.

Plus Kodi Augustus, who if he starts playing some defense, could be a 1st rounder in a couple of years. And Dee Bost and a senior Randy will be a nice backcourt too might I add. You're not being too objective here if you think OM is top 20 and State isn't.

Football -- automatic Top 5 this year, probable national champs, regardless of whether they've ever sniffed Atlanta to this point. Crank up the Snead for Heisman bumper sticker printing press.

Basketball -- White and Warren for Co-Players of the Year, automatic Top 15 next year. (Obviously much better than the team that has been to NCAA's the last 2 years and could return everyone.)

Baseball -- obviously they are currently top 5 in baseball. The talent, coaching, new facilities, etc add up to a near-future national championship... regardless of whether they've ever won a super regional up to this point. Mere details.

I was told by one of the players that sidney has been in town this weekend. He said sidney was backing out of USC because of the OJ investigation. He said he isn't 100% coming but he was seriously considering it. It may not make us a top 15 team but it takes alot of pressure D off of jarvis.

but I've heard it from all my delusional UM friends/relatives, heard it on the radio, and seen lots of chatter like that from retards on this board.

I do give you the benefit of the doubt because most of your posts are rational, but this thread was borderline.

coming back from season ending injuries that occurred in the early season. That's a lot of unknowns.

Given that this would double our grand total to a whopping two McDonald's AA's, I don't think this is the best smack. Sorry if you were kidding.

how you put Ole Miss ahead of us in the preseason basketball rankings. This is complete ********. Don't you remember we were better than you last year and we lose NOBODY. Considering the screw job you usually put together in baseball, I don't see you winning a super regional. Considering all the expectations in football, you will surely not live up to all the hype. It's the Ole Miss way and everybody knows it.

Basketball is a sport you will just never be consistently good in. I'm predicting we (once again) win the west and you are a distant 4th or 5th.
