Maybe Cal has got to at ease. When Cal had an edge and the chip on his shoulder, there were no games like this. Not counting the year Nerlens got hurt.

Cal was on a mission to prove he belonged at UK, at the Big table he said. Now, maybe not so much. I don't know. I'm grasping. This beating was just atrocious.

An *** whippin it was which equates to a single loss not a season.

Single biggest reason for the loss is we are way behind on defense which is a self admitted flaw
since Cal has said every year he's been here - they are so young they don't even get to work on
team D until weeks into the season.

If you don't think Cal will turn things around, where have all you Rip Van Winkles been? It is what it is.

No doubt they can turn it around, but after last nights debacle, my expectations have dropped from title contender to elite 8 ceiling. Its not the loss, its the complete *** whipping in all aspects of the game that's depressing. The Cats were severely overmatched athletically, and will be severely overmatched athletically in March if we meet again.

Catphight is right....the defense is appalling at this point and needs intensive work. Three point defense to interior defense and weak side defense is lacking. This should be the focus of individual and group workouts....

Spot on, We need to call it what it is. Duke WILL be the national champs.. Some will refer to our 2015 team and say that anyone can lose, but Duke is on another level from even our 2015 team. You could make an all star team from UK Mich St and Kansas and Duke would have beat them by 20. I mean damn, they looked like a NFL Basketball Team.

Cal has never worked harder than he has at recruiting. He cannot compete with million dollar AAU payouts and million dollar homes. He better change his strategy somewhat in coaching philosophy or recruiting more long term college players. One and done cannot be successful without getting a few top 5 talents each year.

Everyone hailed last years Duke team the best ever and the year before that also just like Kentucky in 2015. Given they are much much better than Kentucky right now but the tournament is a whole different thing. One bad shooting game and you're out. Duke should be the favorite to win the championship but if either of those 3 get hurt or the NCAA grows a set and really looks into the Zion housing situation they quickly come back to a good team rather than a great team. Meanwhile we have 1 offensive set, dribble for 25 seconds then high screen and roll and see what happens. Until we land an elite center and rim protector we're not gonna be championship caliber. If Wiseman and Carey go elsewhere it won't get any better next year, probably much worse.

The talent gap we’ve witnessed in the last 2 UK games (football and basketball) makes my head hurt.

Just realized our football team at one point trailed 28-3 and still appeared more competitive than the basketball team last night. Bleh.

Coach K had been recruiting these guys for a long time, Coach Cal gets in late to recruit these kids. That is not working anymore. He’s going to have to start making offers and getting on them earlier.

The defense has needed work since 2015. This is just who we are these days. We are substandard on defense at best. If we have a Malik Monk then maybe we can out score people but the defense will not be good enough to undo these results by March.

Williamson and Barrett are legit NBA wings that will be good day 1 of their NBA career. Reddish isn't far behind them. It's hard to play man defense against a team like that. The 3 was falling for Duke last night. You've gotta play zone and hope the shots aren't falling to beat them. No one can man up with Duke.
