Hugh Freeze's days @ Ole Miss numbered?

One year self imposed bowl ban, which kind of looks like the beginning of the end to me for that guy. So the next logical question is, was it worth it for Ole Miss fans? Look at where they were before Freeze, and where he took them, and what the probable ending is going to be. Was it all worth it?

With some of the recruiting classes they pulled in and no rings to go with any of them, then I would say the juice was not worth the squeeze in this case.

One of the charges was an assistant coach arranging a payment from boosters......uh.....that is SEC football - most of the players are paid by bagmen that are a few times removed from the boosters that fund the payments . They have learned to keep the staff and coaches out of the process. This feels like one of those "well you got caught being stupid" situations so the NCAA will wrist slap Ole Miss to make it look like they try to actually enforce rules. When the truth is they don't as long as the money train stays on the rails.

I'm not sure it will just be a wrist slap in this case. Previously, Ole Miss was told of 9 major violations along with other smaller ones. Not all were for the football program. For the football program it was a total of 13 violations. Recently the NCAA added on 8 more I think bringing the total for just football to 21. This also does not include any violation that may come from last years draft when a former Ole Miss player said on TV he was paid while there. The NCAA also informed Ole Miss they were looking at lack of institutional control. These are some major allegations that I believe will warrant more than a wrist slap.

The biggest thing that is haunting Freeze right now is his tweet asking people who had any proof of cheating to contact Ole Miss compliance department. He put his neck out there and now it is coming back to bite him in the ***. If the lack of institutional control sticks, I don't see any way Freeze would keep his job.

Why doesn't the ncaa investigate Alabama for paying players and giving free vehicles to its players oh that's right it's because Alabama is the college football darling and Saban is like god

Either way, it's not a good look for the ways of SEC recruiting. Saban be pissed.

It's bad.
May be worth it to check their roster. Should be a bunch of transfers coming soon.
Btw
They paid a player $13 - $15,000 (Thousand Dollars) and the kid ended up going to a different school.
Wonder what that kid is driving around in these days...
Smh...
Ole Miss fans reaction is "Everybody Is Doing It".
Some radio guys actually agreed, however added "but you were sloppy and got caught".
Thats horrible.

Ole Miss fans will say no it was not worth it,right now, but not during football season. Then it's just "you can't take away those great moments".

Keep in mind the university is fighting the major charges of the coach not being responsible for his coaches and the university not being responsible for the coach. However at the same time are admitting to a few of these thing that directly contradict it.
Oh, they are going down.

Self imposed bowl ban is stupid.
They didn't even go to one last year and might very well not even make it in 2017.
Good thing is, if they do get handed a 2-4yr bowl ban, kids are free to leave without penalty.

Remember when DJ Fluker said he got paid on twitter then claimed his account was hacked. Then yahoo had pics of western union receipts, then nothing happened.

That's would be like the Husker basketball team putting themselves on a 5 year postseason ban. Nobody would know any different.

Where are the guys saying this was not about football? That was hilarious, $ec posters claimed none of the violations pertained to football! Hahaha
