Hanson with the error (should have been). Threw to 3rd, but didn't step on 1st. Meyers gets back. Everyone safe. Top 7th, 0 outs, bases loaded.
Schreiber strikes out, but pitch karems off of the cather's shin guard allowing Meyers to score. NU 6-4, Top 7th, 1 out, runners on 1st & 2nd.
Alvarado intentionally walked to load the bases. Top 7th, 1 out, bases loaded.

Ben Miller takes the extra base. I like it and imagine it was a similar effort to when he tagged to score from third a couple weeks ago.
Alvarado singled. Throwing error allows him to advance to 2nd. Huskers score two to make it 8-4! Top 9th, 1 out, runner on 2nd.

And thanks to boxes for the updates. As an aside, boxes, you could totally thread a mock game on here and 99% of us would have no idea. You could give inning by inning updates ..: and have the huskers give up an 8 run lead in the 9th and watch the meltdown

Very big series win for the Huskers. The conference schedule is extremely favorable the rest of the way, and NU holds the tie-breaker over Indiana, Minnesota and Maryland. Probably won't finish in a tie with the Gophers or Terps (due to having a tie on NU's record), but definitely could with the Hoosiers.
This team has some good pieces on it. Only halfway through Big Ten play, but with some favorable series' Nebraska can win the Big Ten, get hot right before NCAAs and I could see us playing in a Super Regional this year.

That would have been a great April Fool's prank. Of course, my credibility would be shot. No one would believe me again. Fool me once...
Eh, one step at a time. RPI should sneak into the mid-40s this week but is still only fourth-highest in the conference (that's assuming NU jumps over MN). So yes there's an opportunity to put together a nice run, but I'd be pretty happy with a conference title.
As would I. If Nebraska gets a decent draw, I think we can hang with a lot of teams. Beat a great Arizona team, lost a 1-0 duel to Oklahoma State, won 2 series' against Maryland and Minnesota. Need to win the Big Ten this year.
