Huskers add another wing player in the 17' class.

Offers can be influenced by factors other than basketball potential. An offer from UNLV is nothing to sneeze at.

SMU offered as well. Some people will never be pleased.
Isaiah Roby didn't have any "big time schools" offer him, guess we should let him leave since he's not good enough.
Roby committed before his junior year of basketball and ended up being rated a top 150 HS player. Kudos to the coaches for getting on him early. I don't think that compares to this situation but hopefully Nana can play. Love the name.
With regards to the men's basketball program...will he actually sign and will he be gone by his sophomore year?
I personally don't know enough about him other than that he has played very well on the AAU circuit this summer. He'll get more offers. Looks like he was a little bit of an under the radar late bloomer. We HAVE to get on guys early in order to land them.

When Miles dumped Arop, I figured he had a top prospect lined up to replace him.
Academic progress, whether a coach has seen a guy play good competition in person (Miles has seen this kid), social issues, Crappy high school team or coaching.....and there are a ton of crappy high school coaches can all affect an offer list. The kid got an AAU team and played well this summer earning NU's offer. I like.
His high school team was very good when he was sophomore, and he was a contributor. The team graduated a lot of experienced players that year. Sounds like he and one other player were the leaders of the team as juniors. Averaged 15 a game as a jr. His coach calls him one of the best players in the state. Miles offered him in June.

The thing is, Basketball is not like football. Usually when a kid verbals the offers stop. It is just not as crazy (99% of the time) as football is with offers.
The offers stop.....ummmm no. Basketball has a different situation. When a kid signs, the offers stop. IF KU decides they want an NU commit, they'll offer him and tell us to take a hike. We had a kid last cycle that committed and then got a late offer but stuck with us. I think it was Robey.
