I thought we were past this ******** of getting our doors blown off. And Sparty is minus one of their better players.

Here's to the big comeback. I'm going to be the bad fan an watch something else. I'll keep tabs online and switch it if we make it close. I'm looking for Husker Du to root harder than everyone else. GBR

I still feel we are a very poorly coached team on offense. Guys battle hard on defense but we have no offense outside of Tai Webster driving to the hoop. We have a small, not overly athletic squad that does not have consistent outside shooting. We have only 3 players that can play the PF or C position and they all had 2 fouls and had to sit. Why is a roster that has 13 scholarships available only have 3 PF/C on the roster? 3 scholarships for 2/5 of your positions?

I know I will get killed for saying this but last year I said "Wait til next year to judge Miles". Well I have seen enough to know I think we can do better. Not gonna fall for that "next year" again and I am in agreement with those that want Miles replaced. He is paid a Top 30 salary, has a Top 10 facility, Top 10 attendance plus financial support from the AD for recruiting and highly paying Asst Coaches. After year 5 I am done making excuses for him. We have a sub 500 coach who's salary is about $100,000/yr less than Roy Williams. I feel we are not getting our monies worth. If he was making $2,000,000/yr I would be fine with the product on the court but for $3,000,000+/yr we should be getting a better coached team. McDermott makes around $1,000,000/yr less than Miles. Not only are we losing to Creighton on the court but also in salary for our coach.

Surprised this isn't 5 pages already.
I think many of the "Replace Miles" crowd have given up posting. The "wait til next year" chants get tiring year after year. Some people are afraid of change, and some aren't. Not all change is good but I have seen enough in year 5 to realize we are far from a complete team and are not a well coached team.

Man, Huskers missed a bunch of two-footers that would have gotten them within shouting distance. You would think Dikembe Mutombo was patrolling the lane for Sparty.

Another game where all of our "Big" men got in foul trouble in the first half. 12 minutes left in the game and we have 6 points in the paint. 6.

Has anyone else noticed that they rarely show replays of fouls in college basketball anymore? The Big Ten Network almost never shows a replay of a foul. McVeigh just fouled on a 3 pointer and it appeared he didn't even touch the guy.

Morrow also got called for a foul when an MSU player just ran up behind him and climbed up his back. I had to rewind it to make sure I wasn't seeing things. By sheer coincidence, this happened the very next possession after Izzo pissed his pants about a non-call on Morrow.

Didn't really expect another win at East Lansing, but it's hard to ignore the fact that this ***-whipping is being administered by mostly freshmen and sophomores.

Why didn't you post in the Penn State game thread? Why was your only post in the Ohio State game thread a mock of the officials?

Good old JRE, like a book.

I confess I am just flat out disappointed and exasperated with Nebraska hoops. But I have no idea what the answer is. No way we should fire Miles. But here we are with yet another lousy season. Ugh. It just gets old after a while. It all just leaves me feeling Blaise about NU basketball. Wish that weren't true.

But Miles should stay. Good talent here now. Hopefully this gets turned around

Nebrasketball is a Catch-22. It's very tough to win here because we have zero tradition and zero recruiting base compared to the other teams in our league....and for those same reasons, it's impossible for us to ever hire a coach who has proven he can win at this level. This job is considered a graveyard in coaching circles and I was pleasantly surprised that an up-and-coming guy with a resume like Miles even accepted this job. Had he stayed at CSU one more year, he would likely be coaching at a better program today.

I wonder if Miles and Illinois might have any mutual interest in each other after this year? Probably not, but you could argue that Miles has done a better job recruiting the Chicago area than Groce.

It is so rare for head coaches to take new jobs in the same conference. I would be surprised and it "sounds" like Illinois is looking in a very different direction but of course you never know how accurate the information is.
