This is the ugliest team I've ever watched. Not Price or Frazier ugly but play ugly. You would have to pay me to go to the hump and watch this.

I've given ray benefit of doubt so far, but I am tired of making excuses. We need shooters bad

Not one player is showing a desire to shoot tonight. We are looking more interested in passing for the entire shot clock then throw up a shot. Seems to me they are playing with fear more than confidence. TCU looks like a Final Four team. What is their record this season?***

Lots of hustle for sure. Not a lot of talent. Some project players like Ware in there.

Baseball hurry.

ESPN is wishing that they would had televised the bridge tourney at the old folks home instead of this.

I really think we have just declared 17 it to guarding the perimeter. We've given wide open looks all year and we've finally run into a team who will knock them down. Do we just not care to defend the perimeter?

I also know this is not our only issue...

I really miss being somewhat decent in basketball. Basketball was always my favorite sport to attend in college.

I remember the endless debates of whether you would rather have talent that's lazy, but won games or not as much talent but they hustle their *** off? I remember the days when we were competitive, too... some of my best memories of State were at basketball games.

Hopefully some of you did like I did and placed your money on TCU +8.5 before this one started. I hope we come back and win by 8, but betting against this team can be easy money at times. As sad as that sounds.

I was hoping for a 500 season, but can't see it based on the 1st half of this game. Pathetic.

I don't see it either. I didn't have expectations when I tuned in, but I also didn't expect to watch this embarrassment. We are really bad.

I would like to wish a hearty 17 you to all the Stansbury haters out there.

This **** is soooo much better.

I don't blame the players or Ray, I truly think they are doing about the best they can. I just fail to see how this beats winning 20 a year and being in the top of the SEC most every year.

Take your Sweet 16's and shove them up your ***.

And someone stifle the ***** commentating on the game. Even my wife said someone please cut off her 17ng mike!

Our fan base fell into the age old trap of getting spoiled with winning. We won but wasn't good enough after a few years.

We forgot what losing and being bad bad was like.

This may be the ugliest game I've ever seen. I feel bad for Craig Sword. #OneManTeam.

Aaaaand there it is.

And for the record, I concur. Put up with half a decade of listening to how all our problems would be solved as soon as we got rid of Stans. A little over a year later, I'm not sure what problem we solved other than having trouble finding a parking spot at the Hump

I know we were in a crappy spot at the end of Stan's tenure but there is nothing like being schooled by a bottom feeder Big 12 program that doesn't even have their star player playing to make you wish for older days.

As far as Stans goes, he should have left sooner and never signed Sidney. Or at least the AD should have made him kick the crap of the team sooner instead of making us go through the dumpster fire and having a team so devoid of talent.

Yea, our roster was loaded for the future with Stains. Our players would have miraculously given up the wacky terbacky, and Josh Gray would have been a stud, instead of working on his 3rd school in 2 years.

That's it bash Stans again. We would have had Gray, Pollard and Hood. And by now Rick would have had another big man to go with Ware. Elmer Fudd could out recruit Rick Ray. Now he has told our players not to shoot a three, That is working really well.

He lost me at we...

We have a false sense of who we are because we are living on our offense.

I've seen nothing to make me believe Ray is the answer. Not sure what Scott was thinking. Women's coach is the real deal however. The difference, Schaeffer was an assistant on a National Championship TX A&M team, and has 20 years of experience; while Ray was an assistant at Clemson.

Not to mention we are bottoming in basketball while OM is about to open a new arena. Great timing eh. Stans had some issues, but he could recruit.

Damn it, why did we hire this Cohen fool. Total disaster!!! We should have stuck with what we had!!! Polk never came in last in the sec! Twice in a row... And this guy is mean to our players and ran off all our talent!

Ray has done some good things and some bad things. Bottom line is, if you have real expectations for this year, you were always going to be disappointed. There were positives and negatives from tonight's game. Next year, the rubber meets the road, or his seat should be scalding hot.

The fact that Ray may/may not be the right hire is inconsequential to the fact that it was time to move on from Stansbury. They are literally two different things entirely -- and I don't understand why people have trouble disconnecting them...

The main negative was that this was the worst team in the big 12. It is great that we still have C34's opinion here from time to time though...

Finally, a thread that tells it like it is. Our basketball team use to be relevant - we don't matter anymore in men's basketball. It wasn't perfect and Stans wasn't perfect - but we are very bad and it isn't getting better. We just got schooled by an average team at home without their best player. We shot >50% in FTs, got outrebounded by 12, and let them hit almost 50% of their 3 pointers. Trying to be a true Bulldog, I bought my season tickets last year - but never went to a game. I cannot even give my tickets away this year.
