is there ever a possibility that the super conferences become so big and powerful, that they actually take the NCAA out of the equation. I understand they still get the biggest piece of the $$$$.

Or do the super conferences need all the little guys to keep national interest and the money machine going?

If it ever happened it would likely only be for football, not the other sports.

The only way this expansion madness stops is if the sanctioning body (NCAA or otherwise) negotiates the TV deal instead of the conferences (Like March Madness). As long as there are conferences (“leagues”) who make more money than each other, schools will continue to jump ship. 1 super league. Thats the only way this ends.
