Hypothetically, Nebraska loses to Indiana in a close game

I also believe the showing against Ohio State doesn't necessarily reflect anything on the game against Nebraska. Nebraska has had close games with opponents, who some (including me) thought it meant they would win or play their next game tough. Not the case for Oregon and Illinois, who seemed to head in the opposite direction.

Time will tell, but I am predicting a Husker win tomorrow by 14.

Indiana played not to get blown out against OSU.

They will try to open the playback up against us.

We know it. The best they end up this year is 8 wins and that is pushing it and no one here thinks 8 wins is solid.
9 wins was solid for many. What's one less loss? :D

I just find it silly to already proclaim Indiana as not being solid without the season being at least halfway completed. Same for the Oregon win. Seemed like a solid win at the time, but we were only 3 games into the season to even know.

Don't get me wrong, you could very well be correct.

If we lose to Indiana, the team will likely deserve some criticism. It'll mean we lost to an average team, which will mean that one or more of our units didn't play well most likely. If someone goes on the board to point out some problem after we lose to an average team (hypothetically) it doesn't mean that that person was sitting around hoping we would lose so they could pursue some agenda. More likely, it'll mean they are ticked off because they were hoping we would win and they are trying to understand why we didn't.

I won't complain about a win, no matter the margin. IU has a decent team so as long as the Huskers walk away with that W, it's all good. That being said, this is a must-win game with tougher matchups on the horizon

This is where I'm at. I've been pleasantly surprised at the team's performance thus far but I am cautiously optimistic. If Oregon had done better post-Nebraska, I'd be feeling much better about things. But they've been pretty bad so it causes me to wonder how good this team is. I blame the pessimism in part because of the previous seasons with the patented Bo Pelini lose a random game you shouldn't special.

Regardless, just keep winning, regardless of if it's pretty or not. I don't care, just get the W.

Occam's Razor does not jive around here, sir. Anyone critical of Nebraska's performance in a game or season is either:

a) a Pelini lover

b) a troll

No other way of explaining.

If NU loses today, I suspect this board will pretty much read like any other in the country when a team loses a game in which it was favored. If being disgusted by that bolsters one's Johnny SuperFan bona fides, so be it - but I'm not sure why it would surprise anyone. Negative reactions on a college football message board? Who could ever imagine such a thing?
