Colin's Last Stand is a history and/or politics talk of about 20 minutes that happens 1-2 times per week. I like the way the guy that does it talks and thinks and he researches it and it's interesting. And he doesn't yell and he always encourages people to be civil to each other in the comments. And his tag line at the end of each show is "Keep on learning."

This is what cable TV ought to be. Instead we get conspiracy theories on the History Channel and reality shows on A&E and hyperpartisan yellfests on CNN and MSNBC and Fox News. Why should I pay for the garbage on cable when I can get this good stuff for free?

I first saw this guy on The Rubin Report, which is another discussion show where there's never any yelling and you can get it for free too, except I give him $5 per month on Patreon, but I don't have to.

He doesn't get to the substance until about one minute in.

The Trump people who condemn the actions of cities like New Orleans for what they are doing in removing Civil War Confederate statues are hypocrites. They use the phrase "you lost, get over it" towards those Hillary supporters all the time. Well.....last I looked.....the Confederacy lost! Now, time for them to GET OVER IT!

Plus, they were traitors........

Ummm......yeah. We have had this debate on here before. If the left today suddenly rose up and took arms against our government, you would call them "traitors". The British referred to our Founding Fathers as "traitors" (and they were.....against the British since they were British citizens). The entire argument in defending these southern traitors for "protecting themselves from federal government power" is ridiculous. You all talk about "majority". Well, the majority of Americans in 1860 agreed with the Union and our government. The election proved that.

Thanks for posting. I agree with his position and I very much like how he was able to separate public vs Private and Heritage/Pride from hate.
