No more basketball till the fall. Bring back the lockout.

Football August-February
Baseball February-October
Throw in some golf and Nadal/Djokovic. That's all.

I always seem to get caught up in conference and league finals. I guess because at that point you get to see quality basketball. But yes...now onward to football. Still several good PGA events lft on the summer schedule to get me by and of course I'm a sucker for NASCAR.

You forget about the month to 2 month-long post finals coverage on every sports news outlet this side of Los Angeles following the end of tonight's game. Throw in endless "2012 NBA Champions Miami Heat Merchandise" commercials, a few meaningless trade rumors, and one or two coaching changes during the offseason and before you know it, you're right back to opening tip-off. **** is FAR from over.

We'll finally get the deserving coverage of a much better sport (baseball) and I won't have to listen to Jalen Rose, Chris Broussard, Charles Barkley, Jeff Van Gundy, etc for a few months.

The wild card format in baseball will make this year's season very interesting as many teams will be in contention well into September. Dale Jr is on fire. The Wimbledon final will be another classic. Great golf coming up. Couple more weeks of the Euros. AND the Olympics.

It's not less sports, its that we can now focus on the better ones, all of which top NBA basketball

The illogical hatred a few of you have for the NBA is getting silly. And lawdawg is right, if you dont like Barkley, youre nuts.

I hope someone bunts in your front yard.
