I am deeply disappointed in the city I live in.

I live in Waterville, Maine....for now.

When the police officers who shot that 12yo boy down like a dog were cleared of all wrong doing by the grand jury, my heart ached....it was flat out murder and everyone here seems not just fine, but happy about it.

I've lived here for 9 years and literally had no idea of the type of people I live with.

I'm not going to go into it...we all know what happened.

I have a 10 year old son and the thought that he may be killed because he is holding a toy has kept me up at night (and he'd likely say has made me very smothering )

Basically i'm just using the forum as a shoulder to "cry" on today (and not to bury you all in a wall of text with me ranting and bawling) for that I thank you for your indulgence.

(ok.....I know there are maybe 4-5 people here who'd claim i'm "trolling" somehow. To them I say that if you consider THIS trolling, it says a lot more about you as a person than it does me.)

Look, don't get your kid a toy gun. Simple. You notice how you conveniently left off "gun" when talking about "being killed because he is holding a toy". Kids are not being killed because of toys, they are being killed because of awful police training and toys that look like real weapons. That's it Kitty. Problem solved.

What's really going on in Maine? You bored up there and need to vent off your passive aggressiveness through the Paddock, where half us are apathetic and only care about breast and ***.

Oh and I heard Maine chicks are kinda plain looking. Is that true?

Maybe....i'll take the high road and not go into what i've heard about kentucky men....or what is pretty obvious about you.

How about a break in the social commentary for a lobster roll recipe? Or maybe a do it yourself surface cleaner that works and smells just like the expensive stuff?

Do you have any nice inexpensive wooden crafts for us to purchase from you?

How about a break in the social commentary for a lobster roll recipe?

1.5 lbs of cooked lobster meat
1/2 cup mayo
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 inner celery stalks with leaves, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and Pepper
4 rolls split, lightly toasted
Melted butter, for brushing

Chop up the lobster in bite sized pieces. Mix the lobster, mayo, lemon juice, celery, parsley, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Put in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so that the flavors can truly integrate. Put the lobster salad on the buns and enjoy.

I also suggest you go to Hank's Oyster Bar the next time you are in DC for a lobster roll. Phenomenal.

Police shot a 12 year old kid in Waterville, ME? Hadn't heard about that one.

Or did you mean a city you DON'T live in?

Nobody knows how they would react in that situation truth is, the kid had the gun in his waste and pulled it on cops. His actions costed him his life. Is it right? No. Is it justifiable, absolutely. They had no way of knowing if it was real or not. It's asad situation that should of never happened.

I like a good lobster roll but if you want to kick it up, try Lobster Newburg (sherry, brandy, cream, nutmeg, cayenne, butter and egg yolks). Serve over toast points.

Lobster Buying Tip: If you live close to Louisville, try Clearwater Seafood off Produce Lane. They supply all of the Ruth's Chris in the U.S. with lobster from Nova Scotia. It is flown in via UPS and is put in a giant swimming pool size tank to rest before being shipped out nationwide to restaurants. They do sell lobsters to the public at about $7.00-$8.00/lb. Great bargain and you can buy any size up to 6-8 pounds. Here is more about them: http://www.foodanddine.com/clearwater-seafood/

Are you talking about Cleveland? I cannot find anything about police shooting a 12 year old in Maine.

There are events in life that are just "tragedies." A kid with a realistic toy gun who had no idea that what he was doing was foolish and potentially dangerous. Cops rolling up onto an unclear situation and not having time to ponder whether or not the gun is real. For cops, just an untenable situation to find themselves in. A tragedy for the boy and his family - and for the cops who did it.

I don't have any problem with just about all these women. They're right in the sweet spot, plain enough to appreciate the attention but not ****** enough for Willy.

You're absolutely right We-Todd. Although the blonde in the middle does make a case.

Starchief- It would be like haggling with a Chinese market vendor, and in the end, both parties will get what they want. I'll get paid (allbeit less money) and she gets my warm yellow pee all over her.

The OP has a very personal reason for taking this issue personally, and I would expect that reason extends beyond the mere fact that he has a 10 year old son of his own. Many of us have children of our own. Does the OP lack confidence in his own ability to properly supervise and to properly protect and to provide proper guidance to his son? Does he lack confidence in his son's ability to follow that guidance or to acquiesce his father's protection and supervision? I don't know what to make of the situation, but I do know this: Tamir Rice's parents probably feel an unbearable guilt for allowing their son to possess a replica weapon pellet pistol unsupervised, as indeed that was the #1 contributing factor to his death.
