Don't think Rutgers can win this. If things go good for RU it could be close at the half. Time isn't in Rutgers favor as Ohio State can rotate in similar players as they have great depth. Would love a close game, be over the moon with a win. My first concern is staying healthy. There are two winnable games left and too be very honest I'd trade a Ohio State whopping if we beat F-ing Penn State!
Go RU!

It's funny- but I really have started to think we can get their QB into trouble and find a way to bottle up their RB for the first half and the game ends up with the winner having less than 30 points and it is a one score game(either way) up to the end.

I hear you on PSU but beating #1 to me would trump it.

Not to me. The Louisville win in 2006 was spectacular. Being in Happy Valley and seeing them win that game is by far the biggest win ever. We have a history with Penn State. None with Ohio State.

While I completely understand this feeling and do not disagree- in reality- to beat OSU tomorrow puts us right around 20. It would be that big. I dont think any other 2 loss team would have a win that big. To get whooped- we would not climb into the top 25 even with a Iowa and PSU win.

No problem with this at all. The scary thing to me is this OSU offense is considered their weak point, but there's maybe not a single RU team in history that had a better one.
They have the best receiver of the last 10-20 years on their team and it’s considered a down year. I’d hate to be them 🤦🏻‍♂️

Nah, it is inconceivable. A one-dimensional offense can’t keep pace with an elite opponent any more than a one-handed man can jump rope.

But so what. of the hundred other teams who’d have no chance either we’re in the half that’s headed to a bowl. that’s just as important.

I feel sorry for you. It's much more enjoyable to root for an upset than to be constantly negative the way you are.

Also, I am expecting the Jets to make the playoffs.

I might be disappointed in both cases, but hope is underrated sometimes.

(Edited: I typed “hop” instead of “hope”. Maybe Freudian. Former 164 College Ave resident!)
Rutgers is expected to lose big.....teams with nothing to lose can takes chances without criticism.
I expect a few 4th down attempts by Rutgers and at least one trick play for a 1st down,

This team has been building confidence over the last few games.

Positive Karma from fans (aka fanatics) can't hurt our chances today.

He's not a RU fan. For the past two weeks he's been barely visible on the board because we had a a big win to be bowl eligible and a bye week. Now that we have to play the #1 team in the nation and are heavy underdogs he's back.
Never forget this is the same guy that back in August said most FCS teams would be pick em games if we played them. So he thought that we wouldn't be favored against most of the Ivy League. He's a Syracuse troll and not worth the time to read. I put him on ignore (one of only two) a month ago and he'll stay there.
Not worth the time of day.

If this very comprehensible idea is inconcieveable to you, you must be very narrow-minded.

That said, I will give you better odds than you suggest. How about you bet me $50,000 that OSU wins and I will bet you $25 that Rutgers wins.

Put your money where your mouth is, right?

To be honest, I think RU has a good chance of making this game interesting going into the 4th quarter since they have a young qb whose system oriented. If RU defense puts the pressure on him to take sacks or cause turnovers, if RU can take a lead and OSU becomes more reliant on pass game, like I said, it will be interesting going into the 4th.

GO RU

It seems like tOSU always looks past one inferior opponent every year. Im hoping this year we’re that inferior opponent!

Just a competitive game would be good.
Slicing and dicing it up a dozen ways to find meaning in polls, RU history, bowls etc is just wheel spinning.
Game isn't Louisville 2.0
Losing by 17 instead of 39 (2022) would be progress
OSU isn't one of their great teams but they still wear opponents down by 4th quarters.

never think and never believe you can't win, that's what losers do

which are you?

we can win; it's the likelihood of the outcome that can be debate but never ever think you can't win

Truer words were never spoken. I think I'll follow your example, although I am reluctant to put people on "ignore." He tries to insult me as though he was ten, and he's not even good at that. Sports and being a sports fan are supposed to be fun -- I'm too old to want to share space with a constant negatoid like him.

RU might actually be wearing them down today! The D should be fresh second half.
