was that John Daly? I think it has been long enough since the first movie that it will be good. So many angles they can take. I thought Grown Up II was better than Grown up I.

I'll be watching it at least once, no matter how bad it is, then I'll probably watch it again a year later followed by periodically watching it every 3 years.

I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. Will it be bad? Probably, but stupid Adam Sandler movies make me happy unlike anything Mississippi State can offer me.
I’m with you man. You know what grinds my gears? People that ***** about the movie Grown Ups. It’s like they expect Adam Sandler to make The Godfather. So, Sandler, makes a movie, invites all of his best friends and family to make this movie at some camphouse resort. They basically hang out for a month and get paid. Movie comes out and makes money for everyone and people that aren’t cynical ******** admit it’s funny. So to recap, studio makes money, fans enjoy the movie, Sandler and friends all get paid while basically having a month vacation, but guy who thinks Wes Anderson movies are the pinnacle of comedy doesn’t like it. 17 U. And also Grandma’s Boy is hilarious

I'm going to buy some Geritol and prune juice .. Cause I'm officially a 17ing old. I just discovered it's s been 29 years since Happy Gilmore hit the theaters.

I'm very devastated to be joining your ranks other old 17ers. Do you think the theaters will let us drive in on our rascals to watch the movie?

ETA. It's Netflix. Should we all meet down at the common area for morning jazzercise in the pool and a smoothie and go back to our rooms for a nap before the screening in the community room?

Why do you need a rascal? Do your fingers hurt? Well now your back’s gonna hurt because you just pulled landscaping duty.

I’m gonna need someone’s Netflix login and password when it comes out. I refuse to add another streaming service.

The fact that it is going straight to Netflix probably isn’t a sign it will be Oscar worthy
Happy Madison signed a deal a handful of years ago where he would push a bunch of movies out onto the Netflix platform.
It's why there have been some really atrocious ones and some really solid ones these last few years.

- The Meyerowitz Stories and Hustle were both full Netflix movies and incredibly well reviewed and received.
- A handful of others were typical movies where they are successful with the audience and get mid to lower critical reviews.
- A handful then were unpopular and got bad reviews.

And this doesn't include Uncut Gems, which was a Netflix distributed movie, but had domestic showing too. That was another extremely well cm reviewed and received movie.

The Wrong Missy was 17’n hilarious. I don’t care what anyone says.

As for Happy Gilmore 2- I'm gonna watch the hell out of it! It might be campy or cheesy or derivative, but even the trailer makes me smile.

It'll be a family movie night pick for sure.

I saw an interview with Daly and he says it intended to be a cameo but he ended up having a much bigger role in the film. I'm sure he's going to be awesome in it.

But, I agree with the OP, it will be disappointing overall, I'm sure.
