No one has ever earned the right to stay in any job as long as they want if they aren't/can't do the job any more. It's embarrassing to the school, and if Jack wasn't senile, it'd be embarrassing to him too. He should have stepped down a few years ago.Predestined said:Still, he's earned the right to stay as long as he wants.
Jack works for Mississippi State. Mississippi State does not work for Jack. The radio show isn't a broadcast of Jack Cristil. It is a brodcast of Mississippi State football.Predestined said:you have to listen to crowd noise to keep up with what is going on.
Still, he's earned the right to stay as long as he wants. And he IS stubborn, so we might as well quit worrying about it.
I'd say anyone listening should care. I've listened to Jack Cristil for most of my life. But it's way past time for him to step aside and let someone who can actually do the job take over.MSUCE99 said:Who cares if he's a little behind or gets a name wrong?
He's definitely not on his A-game these days, but Jack has earned the right to say when he'll step down. Retirement would literally kill him.MSUCE99 said:Cristil is 17ing FAMILY. He has a pass from me until he croaks. And for those wondering the difference between Cristil and Polk, Cristil didn't retire, then unretire and start announcing for a conference rival. Nope, he has served MSU faithfully for 57 17ing YEARS.
