I dislike celebrations! Please act like you have been there before!

But ZDarlingington hasn't been in a long time. Some thought he would never see the field again for a meaningful snap, let along score points in a game. This will be one instance where I give a player a pass for being a little unsportsmanlike on the field, instead of waiting to dab on the sideline with his teammates.

I was/am happy for Zues!

So he spun the ball??? He was standing up and still running. Let the kids celebrate a little.

Definitely a genuine act of celebration. Personal fouls will be a point of emphasis in practice this week.

Those refs were all just a bunch of punks that had it out for us all night. Watch the moron immediately reach for his flag after he spins the ball on the ground. I've seen MUCH more emphatic celebrations not penalized. Just the bumbling fools in our game finding crap to penalize.

Excessive celebration penalties are almost always absolutely ridiculous. It's a GAME. It's supposed to be FUN. What is the problem with showing some emotion? It drives me nuts when officials make these game-changing penalties for absolutely no reason. We're all going to be ok.

you can't spike the ball in college, which I don't understand why...thats when you should celebrate, when you score.

Disagree. Just give the darn ball to the ref.

Was it Morgan who caught the long ball and did that yesterday. LOVED it. THAT'S the Nebraska way.

That said, I'm a Darlington homer, and he picked an appropriate time to "go off" given the SF tie in...

Im ok with giving the ball to the ref, but we currently have db's who turn into moon walking mikey jackson after a play...so I figured a compromise in-between, would be to spike the ball after a touchdown.

...because Nebraska hasn't been there before. We've sucked for 15 years. There are at least 40 programs with more history of winning in that span. So I say let Nebraska players do whatever they want to get their teammates, and the fans, jacked up for five minutes. Because it won't last anyway.

I'm fine with the celebration. I remember Calvin Jones and other players tearing their helmets off in the end zone and running around like crazy. It's 2016. Let's the kids have fun, and show some swag. Just not too many penalties.

Based on his post-game comments, I think the only guy whose opinion matters wasn't too thrilled. The players know the rules and also know 15 yard penalties are no joke, yet every week we see this crap.
