We've beaten those 17ers every year since Mullen got here. They are due for a win against us and almost got it last year. Top that off with we've had 2 weeks to sit and feel proud about ourselves and potentially have the injuns wake up. After all, indian summer is over with the weather change. Speaking of the weather change I really didn't know what to wear yesterday for Maroon Friday. Was it ok for me to break out the hooded sweatshirt or should I have stuck with just the polo? And if it's ok to wear the sweatshirt do I wear the polo under it? Will a maroon t-shirt pass? Should I wear a white t-shirt since it's also our colors? Does the white t-shirt also have to be MSU oriented?

I've also run out of shampoo and deodorant that I've been using during our run. Is it ok for me to throw these things away and use new ones? Can I just keep them in the shower/on the counter and it'll still count? Do I have to try and squeeze every last drop out of both items? Can I mix the old with the new since there's probably not enough for a full application? I'M GOING 17ING INSANE HERE.

Did you seriously switch up your maroon Friday attire just because of the weather?

We're 17'd. I shouldn't even waste my time watching the game tomorrow.

I started to write an insightful response to this. But once I got to the end, I thought: NAAAAAAAH....

Buy the new shampoo and conditioner (same brand) from same store. Pour new stuff in old container. Do not throw new containers away; you may have to do switch- aroo in 4th if we're down. Tough call on the clothes. Don't know where you live, but i think mom's advice is best here. "Put that jacket (sweatshirt) on before you catch a cold"

I'm nervous bout this one too, and I can't watch on TV today, but I got DVD set to record. I do have cornDawg with me though.

I'm truly at peace with this game. I really think we will slowly beat them down over 4 quarters. I hate to say it because I know they are pretty good team (despite last weeks beat down), but I'm not even sweating it. I do hope (and expect) that the players are not as relaxed as I am.

For the first time in my adult life as a long suffering, superstitious State fan, I've disconnected from the notion that my voodoo has any impact on the team's performance in games.

Pre-game lunch wearing particular State hat? Avoidance of State shirts for fear of jinx? That was my routine.

This year, I've relaxed and have enjoyed the ride.

That said, I shuddered when Shamoan didn't have the lookalike thread posted by Thursday morning.

I THINK WE ALL KNOW WHO DESERVES BLAME SHOULD SOMETHING GO WRONG TODAY. SOLAR NOON HAD ALREADY PASSED!!1

In all seriousness, not having to depend on luck and some flukey-flakey QB is a new experience.

We should all probably just enjoy the ride and prep for the impending apocalypse.

See, you still think we are in danger. I don't know if you heard but we ARE the danger. Mullen is the one who knocks.

I'm a little or worried or skeptical about this one as well. Have been before the season started, LSU's beating last weekend only made me a little more worried.

I have also been feeling a little uneasy about the game and for some reason it was made worse when Herbstreit put us on upset alert last night. He didn't necessarily predict an upset but said if we don't come to play it could be very close. That made me think right there that I am doing what others are saying and thinking my routine and superstitions have anything to do with us winning. They don't.
Dak has put this team in his back and will NOT let them lose. We may start slow but I feel like we run for 300 and win. I feel a
i also am just anxious to get this game started and get the W than I am about us losing. Just win and cheer like hell for LSU.

I don't think you understand how sports works. The better team usually wins, no matter if they've won the last 20 meetings or lost the last 20 meetings. Kentucky was "due for a win" against Florida too, and as bad as Florida is, they were still the better team and they still won. It's no coincidence that the year we finally beat LSU again is the same year we have a better team than all those teams that lost to LSU.

We aren't going to UK to play a basketball game. This is a football game. We win football games against UK. Chill out.

Which NFL team are you so worried about?

The Heisman won't be won or lost based on whether or not Dak sits out the 2nd half of a blowout over Kentucky. We need to bring Damien in if we get up by 30.

I honestly don't think we'll have to worry or not whether Dak gets to play into the 4th quarter today. I think it will still be a game heading into the 4th.
