I don't get the lovefest with Hobbs.

I know many SHU law school grads. The ones who have offered an opinion of Hobbs thinks he's a slick dirtbag. Apparently, there are accepted stories of him sleeping with students, which evidently led to two divorces during his tenure at SHU.

Is this for real? I don't see how this couldn't have come up during his vetting process. The ledger will have a field day if any of those stories come back to follow hobbs.

The love fest will be over if he announces Golden or Christaball, For some not right away, Half way into 2017 the screaming will start. The Miami board calls him Crisco-Ball.

While I'm not 100% certain but I believe the infamous Vetting process consisted of a phone call. Lol

I'm just enjoying seeing RU folks admitting SHU's Law School is respected....lol

Yeah, it's probably no worse than the 5th or 6th best law school in the New York area.

I'm confident that this was one of those hires where you don't vet the guy because everybody involved knows him and is sure they understand who he is. Sometimes that works, and sometimes it doesn't. I have no reason to think it won't wok out here, but it's a risk you take.

I can't vouch for the accuracy of the stories I have heard, but I can vouch for the people that have told them to me.

The phrases I have heard used to describe him, including by one student who knew him very well personally, are "car salesman" and "game show host".
