I don't get to post many rumors, but here is what I have so far....

According to someone that is hooked into the AAU circuit, he thinks Tyler Adams signs with MSU in the fall signing period. I know there have been rumors about this, but this is a pretty damn good source on this rumor.

By the way, I also hear that one of the reasons Rodney Hood hasn't committed to MSU yet, is because the Osby's are really, really, unhappy with how his career turned out and have been very vocal about it, and apparently they know the Hoods and though I still think MSU gets Hood, this is apparently an issue.

For football recruiting people, here is what I have been told about the incoming class of recruits:

Most underrated Ole Miss recruit is Senquez Golson. Talked to two different HS coaches on the coast, and they both think he is an instant starter at Ole Miss and would be an instant starter at least half of the SEC schools (I think we know which six schools)

Most underrated MSU recruit is Zachary Jackson. A guy described him as a Charles Mitchell clone. Thinks he will be that good for MSU.

Guys that Im hearing are overrated for both schools: Joe Morrow, Mitch Hall, Nick Redmond, and Mikhail Miller. I don't like bashing high school kids, but I've heard things about all four, that were less than positive.

I've heard good things about Morrow. I think he's a possession type guy, probably never be a deep burner. I think he could develope into a Tony Burks type role.He had a big night last friday and I think his HS team is pretty run orientented.

I think Golson will be a good one too. He's got good size.

I've heard really mixed reviews on Montcref. Honestly, more bad things than good things. Rivals has him WAY overrated at #3 in the State. I've heard good things about Chief Brown. He could be a real sleeper for OM this year.

On basketball..

I keep hearing Tyler Adams will likely switch to MSU, although all of his stories and updates he says he's solid. I think he could just be telling people what they want to hear, espeically Duke websites.

All the signs are now that O'Bryant isnt headed to MSU. Not sure exactly why, and things could certainly change, but I think he's probably either going to OM or LSU.

If we finish with D Smith, L Ross, and Tyler Adams, we'll be loaded. Thats pretty serious talent. And to the point about Osby, I never expected him to be a great player. I expected him to be better than he was, but I just think he's caught in between positions (3 and 4). He's not quick enough to play 3, he's too small to play 4. I haven't heard that him talking bad about MSU, but that doesn't really suprised me.

Also, there is 0 chance that we have Sidney, Moultaire, Tyler Adams, L Ross, D Smith, D Bost, all in 2012. We are MSU, it never ends up like it's suppose to.

There is no chance Renardo comes back after this year unless he gets hurt, or is 25% of the player I hear he is.

Rodney Hood and not LaQuinton Ross, who committed to Ohio State about a month ago.

Ross is committed to Ohio State and there is no chance MSU gets nor wants him.

Look for 3 to sign with MSU in the fall as of now..maybe a 4th.

But Im not sure he will want to block or play TE. I don't think he has Tony Burks speed, but I've been wrong before.

I haven't talked to anyone that has seen Montcrief play so I can't add anything to the discussion there.

I think both schools have some solid players already committed, moreso than in years past, and both have limited the number of players going out of state, both splitting up much needed talent.

for whatever reason we DID back off. He was more interested in us than we were to him. Some rumors went around that he was even to big of a headcase for Stans to take.

Deville Smith -- already committed
Rodney Hood -- hopefully damnit
Tyler Adams -- another hopeful, but not as good of chance as Hood
David Gardner -- if we even do take a 4th guy

Normal reaction by parents when reality sets in. They can't grasp the fact that the kid is not going to be as good as they thought and they are looking for someone to blame.

They'll be pissed at the Ga Tech staff in a year or two.

Osby is a very, very average role player - at best.

I sat with the Osby's at basketball games a couple of times last year. They were good people, and never had a bad word to say. Ro's Dad said Ro was about 6-7, not 6-8. We both agreed that if Ro had a chance in the NBA it would be at the 3 spot. He agreed he wasn't big enough to play the 4. He also understood Ro had to work on his ball handling. I never heard a negative word about the Stansbury staff. Now admittedly we talked during early games and after the Kentucky game which Ro started after Ravern missed practice sulking. Things may have changed, but his Dad was realistic about his son's potential. I was really sorry to see him leave. I also agree he was a tweener.

Ross was pumping the MSU still in it way more than the other side... Coaches had determined too much "attention" around him and was not impressed with several areas of his game.
Hardly a "we didn't want him anyways" We haven't been actively recruiting him since the year began.
