but I feel the exact same way as I did back in the late 90's now. Going into each game, I just feel like we have a really good chance to actually win the game, no matter the opponent. That being said, it makes losing these kind of games that much harder to take. I'm so 17'n sick of moral victories.
We've got to go out and somehow pull the shocker of all times and beat LSU next Saturday. And then come home and beat Georgia. I really think we've got the players and the coaches to get it done, but we must turn the corner and actually get the damn job done! Finebaum was right today. Somebody from Georgia said something to the effect of...'Mississippi State's not a bad team, it's not like they're the bottom feeders of the SEC anymore - they'll probably go bowling this year', to which Finebaum replied, 'so what? you buy 3 wins, then beat Vandy, UK and OM or something to get to 6 wins. Big deal.'
I guess 6-6 and the stupid *** Birmingham Bowl would show 'improvement', but screw 'showing improvement'. It's time to win these kinds of games and stop shooting ourselves in the damn foot. Last night was our game for the taking and we simply blew it.
