A thread about nothing. What a bunch of whining old people. and I am 65.

It's not a thread about nothing. It's a thread about a multi million dollar scoreboard that DOESN'T GIVE US THE SCORE or any other pertinent info.
And, it also keeps those adds up on the sides most of the time so the "jumbo" screen becomes the small square we had 10 years ago.
The placement of the usable scoreboards are the far corners of underneath where we should be looking at scores
The whole thing is insane.

Not sure if I'm misremembering but don't they show down/distance on the ribbon scoreboards along the bottom of the upper decks? I know I was definitely looking there for the clock.

Not sure the point of a new board if it was going to be the exact same thing as the old one. It is kind of sad that it's already got burn in from those ads after 2 hours of use.

You seem to forget this is Rutgers. Insert Jerry Seinfeld voice: "Why call it a scoreboard if there is no score on it?" Heard in passing they want to keep as much space as possible for advertisements.

We figured out the score was above the recruiting deck, but just hope the recruiting deck does it's assigned task and not something else. 😂

I got a feeling that the fan comments will result in corrective action starting with the Temple game.

Since I didn't see the Ads change all game, couldn't they just print them up and hang them outside the scoreboard leaving the full screen video capabilities for dynamic info and video?

Rutgers gonna Rutgers.

when you complete the post game survey just note,,im sure it will be addressed or explained...

will one of the boxes have conference scores when playing when other games are occurring?

seems a BIG10 emblem/advertisement box on the scoreboard is a waste...the should just put a permanent sign along the bottom or top....The should have put a Large Block R at the top of the scoreboard to soften the shape,,,..similiar to the large N in Nebraska's scoreboard at top

I also think jacking the 50-50 prices to a $20 minimum will keep the jackpots down and bring in less money rather than more. When I bought my 50-50's I noticed no one else around me wanted tix.

Think of it as a multi-million dollar video and advertising board - not a scoreboard and it all make sense.

Strange when I bought my ticket 30 minutes before kickoff the advertised winning value was close to 17k. When I went by the kiosk at halftime it said 15k.

Maybe they were late in updating it. Still I think for a crowd that size it should have been more. Moot point as I did not win so not point in complaining.

Definitely mentioned this in the survey they sent out. Hopefully they're proactive on this.

The board gives the impression it’s dynamic. But strange that the value decreased by 2k in a 2 hour period.

As far as the play clock, I believe it is required to be on its own separate little board by rule. That’s so the QB can find it easily.

Nobody in my group had an issue finding the information you all couldn't seem to see. We like the vividness of the scoreboard and the fact that there is more screen being used for actual video rather than advertising.

Yep easy to find. People just love to complain.
Sorry, but disagree again. You two are in the minority on this one. It took most of the first quarter for people in our section to figure out where the down/distance was posted in the South end zone. Even after knowing where it is, not a good location. Reasonable minds can disagree on these things without two people calling the majority "complainers."

Perhaps the Gameday Guide Week e-mail could have alerted fans to the information.

Do you think that fans paying several hundred to thousands of dollars for tickets should sit silently and shut up and never complain about things that could improve the gameday experience? That's a poor way to treat customers and maintain and build a loyal following. Will say that in the Club, they have really stepped up their game to enhance and ensure a pleasant customer experience. There's no reason why Athletics cannot do this for all the other fans, such as allowing one or two bottled waters to be brought in on a hot day and/or clearly indicating the location of water fountains and drinking water fill stations.
