I don't think the people in Crappy Valley fully understand the horror of what happened...
Listening to the Press conference, the Penn state sports beat writers were convinced that Joe Paterno getting fired was a vendetta by the Board of Trustees to get rid of him, and have been wanting to do so since 2004. Also, the students who rallied around Joe's house to urge him to stay.<div>
</div><div>They don't realize what happened is on par with mass murder....probably worse. If Jerry Sandusky (who is almost as beloved as Paterno in many Penn State fans' minds) had only committed serial killings, it wouldn't have been as bad. But what Sandusky did was destroy souls.</div><div>
</div><div>I think the Penn State board of trustees need to forfeit the rest of the football season, close down the program for 2013 and maybe even 2014, fire everybody in the Athletic department even marginally associated with the football program, and revoke the pensions of any assistant coaches who've been there long enough to know what was going on.</div>
