I've wondered several times this season if one reason the OL didn't perform as well as they could have at times was attributable to them maybe not caring if Shapen got his d!ck knocked in the dirt.
Paid mercenary. It's why I hate the portal and nil era. Nobody really belongs to a school or feels anything outside of being paid to play for a team. He had his shot to get us bowl eligible he blew it against Florida and Tennessee along with his coach.

Some of y’all’s hatred for a guy that passed for almost 2500 yards behind the all time shittiest offensive line is pretty baffling.
Shapen is a guy whose actions don't match his demeanor. He seems like he has no personality and is pissed most of the time, but what I hear from players when they talk, he is a likable mentor and leader. Who knows? Probably somewhere in-between, but I'm thankful for what he did at MSU. He had one of the strongest and accurate arms of any QB MSU had in recent history.
I’m going to remember him for the ASU win. That was a lot of fun and I enjoyed that experience.

Shapen was a helluva better than a few others I've seen play for state.

I wanted to start Kamario not because I hate Shapen or think he was the problem but because we need to get KT reps and see what we've got. Let's see what we have for next year. Starting him didn't win for us yesterday and wouldn't have won at Mizzou or against UGA but it might help us next year.
Goat I don't get your love for the guy. Shapen is a serviceable QB and that's it. He is no where as near a threat to withstand pressure as KT is able. As soon as we didn't have a present, KT should have been playing because he is definitely the future. A QB needs playing time to get better and we wasted 3 or 4 games of KTs education that could have paid off.
Why use the word hate? Nobody hates him. People did realize what his ceiling is and came to a logical conclusion his time was done. Took Lebby 3 games too long.

Probably said it 10 times yesterday.... Shapen couldn't have done that. When it went to ****, KT made good things happen.

I don't hate Shapen. He played the best he could with th OL he had. He was just small and weak. Touch him and he is on the ground. But he did have a lot of heart and courage. He would have to have it to play behind that Offensive line.
And one other thing. I just don't believe for a second that Lebby made this change of QBs on his own. Someone got to him and forced the issue. I mean he went from "wasted plays" with KT to him starting KT in a rivalry game. Who does that?

One thing is for sure, we didn't see a single Shapen fumble or pick yesterday, nor his poor attempts at running the football too much
