that beating Memphis as in blowing them out will really tell us how good we are. However, if we win and play poorly against them, I would say that we could tell that we're not very good or at the wooliest have a ways to go.
As for out practice, I think our defense will be a lot better with our defensive line. Like someone said somewhere- we just better hope that we don't have a lot of injuries.
Right now, I'm more worried about the offense than anything. I don't trust Relf throwing the ball, and we don't have a back that we can count on yet. I think we have some promising WR's, but again, can Relf get them the ball, or will he nail a port-a-pottie.
What I want to see out of this year are two things:
1. Progress from all of the players every week.
2. Go to a bowl, even if it's in Tehran. Just go somewhere. That basically means that we improved our win total from last year.
I think this could be like 1997 in that we kind of do some things that springboard us into having a lot of success over the next couple of years and hopefully beyond. In 1997 we beat Auburn and Alabama on the road, and I think we took some things from those games into 1998 even though we ended the year on a disappointing note. Hopefully, we won't end the season on a disappointing note, though.
